[Creative Thinking Thread] Making Ranked Team 5v5s More Exciting, More Competitive

I'll start with what I'd like this discussion to be about. Ranked Team 5v5s aren't as special as it should be and I would personally like to see it become more. As of right now, this is an order as far as playing would go. You reach level 30, you start to play ranked, and eventually you might get together with some friends and make a ranked team to see how you do against people who actually know each other. Others may join "organized" ranked teams and then there are tournaments that can be joined for actual prizes. First of all, none of these tournaments are actually run through Riot Games although they of course have to get the approval of Riot Games to host an official tournament. My first idea is Riot setting up an official set of tournaments each week. I haven't thought far enough to figure out grouping and how teams would be matched with each other but it would be something special for just ranked 5v5 games. The rewards COULD be in the form of bonus LP for your ranked team but I was honestly thinking more towards large bundles of IP if your team managed to win a Riot Tournament. Tournaments would happen each week(end). The idea is still really skeletal, some other notes are signing up on the official League of Legends Site or Riot Games simply releasing the tournament codes publicly each week. I honestly haven't given this too much thought but would like to see something come from it in the future if possible. Maybe even leading to official tournaments around holidays where special things could be awarded. If I develop this idea more, I'll repost this some time from now. Let me know what you think.
