TITLE EDIT: PLEASE do not queue as Support for a quicker queue time if you dont know how to play it

I had an support who couldn't dodge the most simple skill shots push the minion wave with her abilities and would walk out to ward at the most dangerous times (resulting in her deaths) and I'm just in lane farming like "what did I do to deserve this".

Then she enlightens me by informing me on how she just wanted a quicker queue time and that she doesnt actually support.

Please don't do this.

EDIT: I love how the boards love to take the side of the person who was clearly in the wrong until it happens to them and they want to bitch about it

People are allowed to play the way they want, this includes queuing as support for quicker games!

Yes they are and that is the problem. That is what the OP is asking people not to do. What part of your response was constructive to his conversation?

OP can play the game his way and let others play the game their way, he shouldn't be asking them to play a certain way. If the person in question gets enjoyment out of playing support for faster queues then they should be able to do it without being given a hard time by people like the OP.

Why shouldn't he be asking them to play a certain way? It's a team game and he is trying to be a team player. The person joining que as support is an entitlement baby and not a team player.

lol you are just as bad as the OP. It's a game dude, people play it to have fun. Maybe this player decided to switch to support for faster queues. One bad game doesn't make them an entitled baby. You can't improve if you don't play.

You are right. It is a game and a team game at that. If that Lux wasn't doing things to benefit her then there wouldn't be a problem. She is doing things to benefit her and her alone and that my friend is called entitled. OP is asking that people don't do it which is a reasonable request.

Why because I disagree I am automatically labeled a troll? I label players like the OP is talking about as entitled and an extreme waste of bandwidth. IDGAF what the rules are about playing how you want. That is a huge part of the problem.

And how would not being able to dodge skillshots make her more valuable to your team if she was someplace else, like Mid?

Notice what you're complaining about isn't someone not trying to play support, but someone being bad at the game. That wouldn't change no matter what role they queued up as.

They didnt know how to support as they told me...yet they wanted to get in the game quicker...I was listing an example but im sure they would have done better in another position....

Considering that Plat 4 isn't low elo (or is it?) I could really care less, also I was queue'd as secondary support so....

Debatable.

But yeah, I could definitely see how the "Easy Lane Mid" player that got carried to plat would make the mistake of going mage support without experience. Its very common to have a mage there and its somewhat transferable skill-wise.

A noob trap if they don't have any experience in that lane though, definitely.

The ward scarcity / trinket changes made wards have a slightly higher learning curve since you no longer could have the comfort of ward spam that could help you ward more.

You now have boogymen that might be doing scuttler ready to shank the support instantly or CC them long enough so that the top laner, mid, and the bot lane could walk up and kill them for trying to just ward the dragon pit. Running faster too.
