Dear Riot Games, Dunkey was my hero. Plain and simple the reason I started league. HIs videos made me laugh and made league look appealing. Now you have ruined the one reason I really enjoyed league, watching Dunkey play it. I think banning Dunkey and making him quit league because of it and some of the other decisions you've made will cause many loyal fans of both league and Dunkey to side with Dunkey and quit league. I just hope you realized what you've done, and how you will NEVER fix it. So thanks Riot. I hope u enjoy your losses

riot banned a pro player for toxic behavior, riot fired one of their own employees for toxic behavior and you want riot to excuse dunkey for his behavior just because he's a source of free advertisement?

That's like giving a pardon to a policeman who was caught stealing because he keeps other people from stealing. No one should be above the law.

(i'm not saying this doesn't happen. I"m just saying that it shouldn't be allowed to happen)

No, you're right. But 1.(and maybe most importantly) they didn't give out any sort of punishment to the 0-11 malph who caused The Dunk to flame. 2. Riot really needs to get their priorities straight in that respect. Yes, toxicity is bad, but a lot of the other behaviors such as trolling and intent feeding can be and often are a lot worse, yet they rarely get punished for 1 game feeding when people get punished for one game flaming. but I do respect your views and agree with some of them

You do noticed that Dunkey was in the middle of his chat restriction(look at video, on the bottom left)? This pretty much proves that he was already a toxic fuck before he teamed with the feeding Malphite. He deserved that ban.

Dunkey deserved his ban, and the Malph that was feeding deserves one too. Riot didn't MAKE Dunkey quit LoL. He did that himself for his own reasons. The loss of one youtube personality and the saltier members of his fanbase will not make or break Riot.

Riot makes the rules about how their free service is used. Dunkey broke the Summoner's Code. He was punished fairly for it. He apparently couldn't deal with it. Period.

I do understand the other side of the argument, but you're saying Riot(a company which means they by definition want to make a profit) should ban I believe one of their biggest if not their biggest source of free advertising? The man responsible for probably at least half a million League players? I do understand that he made his own decision to quit league and the ban was only part of it, but don't you think that Riot would do at least something to bring back one of the most popular league YouTubers? I am open to criticism and comments, but please don't just be counterproductive to a conversation.

If he and his followers think his game behavior was kool, then i wish all his youtube followers to uninstall with him. He can say what ever shit he wants on his video but keep the shit out of the game environment. Listen to Sneaky and other pros when they stream; they talk shit all the time but not in game.

He was not special and deserved his ban.

Ok. But I just don't get why riot punishes ragers(generally people who play the game more seriously) harder than they do torlls who ruin the game for everyone. If someone is toxic(dunkey in this instance) malphite could have just muted him. Instead, im sure malphite talked backed saying stuff such as "flame me and ill just troll more" or "your flaming just feeds me". The point is that both players should be punished either fairly or not at all.

cause the automated system for punishing feeding is currently learning. Plus since this guy (from threads o have read) is usually a jerk in game. So since he is a tool all his reports that could of been doing something are being ignored.

I still can't comprehend why riot would basically persuade their top advertiser to quit, just because he was toxic. He did say some bad stuff to that guy, but as I said people should make more use of the ignore button. I frequently encounter toxic players(and I mean like 3 or 4 a game), and I usually just mute them so that I don't get offended. I just am having a hard time understanding a guess.

I have no clue who it is. But if he is the biggest then he held such a small portion that it never mattered to start with. I never heard of the fool til today.

So either A) he was the biggest and holding a total 1% and did not matter or B) HE was not the biggest and he has a frothing mad base. either way does not matter; this tuber was unimportant to the majority.

Some of twitch personalities have 10k + concurrent daily viewers plus not all of them are Riot LCS stars. People i have heard of windsofdeath, trick2g, nb3, and ex pro qtpie.

They don't punish toxic people harder than trolls. Toxic players are just easier to find. They are more common and its easier to pars chat logs than detect trolling.

Do you really think its better to let 1 offender go free because you didn't catch the 2nd? Would you have all prisoners set free because other crimes go unsolved?

Who said anything about giving up? There is an update to intentional feeder detection on PBE right now.

Its not giving up, its just focusing resources where they are most effective.

As a lot of people on the boards have brought up tonight, A LOT(not all but a lot) of ragers are only raging because of intentional feeders/ trolls/ afks/ etc. It would make sense to therefore focus their resources on that. But please tell me otherwise I enjoy a good debate!

Certainly some amount of toxicity is in response to trolls, but not all. In my experience not even most. You are right, if most toxicity came from that it would probably make sense to focus on that. However, its just some peoples opinion that that is the source of it, not a fact. People overreacting to things like first blood or someone building static shiv instead of phantom dancer are the most common sources I see.

I've seen 1 intentional feeder ever and only a handful of trolls. Yet I've seen hundreds of not thousands of toxic players.

I don't play a ton of ranked, mostly just for the skin. I was gold each of the last 2 seasons and should get it this season again no prob whenever I decide to do it.

Well then you are above average. Most of the league community is between bronze and mid gold, and I fall in that range, and from my I think like 1.4k game experience I can tell you that I have seen about an equal number of trolls and ragers, and a lot of the ragers, although still bad, have had some reason to rage. I've heard that its the same at higher elos but maybe you're lucky and im not when it comes to the 9 other players in my games

I was never bronze, but I was silver for quite some time and I can't say my experience in gold was any different. Pretty much everyone I know has had a similar experience to mine and they range from silver to diamond. I do have 1 bronze friend but I don't recall him ever commenting on it.

It is possible that Im just lucky. But that seems extremely unlikely to me. Ive played thousands of games across pretty much every mode. I think its more that negative people bring out negativing in those around them.

And considering that Dunkey's rage(and a lot of LoL players' rage) come from trolls/afks, it just doesn't make sense why raging is the most commonly banned. I do however understand why dunkey quit but I am still very disappointed in riot

keep in mind that this was not Dunkey's first offense and all we have at the moment is and automated system to dish out punishments. With the automated system it's much easier to filter out flaming and verbal abuse and by what Dunkey said in that one video, i'm surprised he wasn't banned for longer. If the only thing he said was that he wished that the malphite was gunned down in the street i think he would have gotten off with a chat restriction. The reason that they use an automated system is because there are too many games being played for riot's staff to police all of them. This is probably the only reason why the Malphite wasn't' punished, YET. There's mostly likely a case being built up against him and if he continues to intentionally feed he'll be caught, eventually.

I do agree that the system riot has now for punishing toxic behavior isn't very good, but it's what we have. However, Riot is working on an updated tribunal. and from what I've heard i'm exited about it.

It will include both pre and post game chat logs. the honors system will tie into this. So you can get "reported" for being a good team mate, nice, worthy opponent, or a toxic trash bag. When the case reaches the tribunal the playerbase gets to decide whether the report was valid and reward or punish the defendant properly. they want to include this because in the old tribunal people always went in with assumed guilt.

I'd also be nice to tie this in with a replay system with the chat overlay so you know what was said at what instance, but i don't have confirmation of this last bit.

until then this is the system we have.

I totally agree bro, riot fucked up big time, I'm quitting league now because of this. I also got perma banned for being toxic, without warning. And because of this, I too along with dunkey and more players, am quitting league of legends. Well Done Riot go fuck yourselves.
