Morde's best max order has been W->Q->E for a while now.

ive always played really different i max E-Q-W. runes are magic pen red ap blue armour yellow and spellvamp quints. I also take the extra spell vamp and I go 18-12 for masteries. https://gyazo.com/32f53a520d10fd0a90d2afe5657d5085

My build is also most likely different I go in this order Haunting Guise> Sorc Boots> Gunblade> Abby Scepter> Rylai's then Rabadon's. Situational being spirit visage & warmog's if enemy ap is fed, sunfire/thornmail and warmogs if enemy ad is fed.

I havent changed my build in nearly 5 years. I did a little bit after post rework when ad tank was alot stronger then he got a few tweaks and I switched back to AP.

(note I do put a point in W for the healing and zoning aspect of it.
