Funny how candy cigs were ban in some places but exposing children to gambling is ok through video games. Cosmetic or not this is disgusting considering you still have to pay to play. For pay to play? Git out of here. The only game I've been exposed to that had to B2P and and gambling was GW2. The rest who tried it, are all dead or completely went f2p with gambling. The two combinations are least expected for a company like blizzard who finds it taboo to even implement exp pots in wow that can be purchased with real $$$.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
That game was nothing to the general gaming public until they released weapon cases and skins. Now they arguably overshadow the actual CSGO esports scene, not even mentioning the intersections that skins and esports have with betting. One of the biggest CSGO streamers (phantomlord) pretty much does nothing but gamble and open cases. Valve make serious bank off of that system. Since Overwatch is in a lot of ways a shinier version of TF2, Blizzard would be stupid to not follow suit.

Those loot boxes are actually pretty dumb too. You get everything through the game, and loot boxes are pretty frequent for a while. I bought most skins I wanted through currency obtained through loot boxes, and I haven't been playing for very long.
