Can you cut riot some damn slack?

Ive been roaming around the boards for a good week, and all ive been seeing is riot this riot that, riot sucks now blah blah blah.

Riot has been pretty nice and replied to every (Well written, grammatically correct and mature) posts on the boards for a long time, i do admit maybe over the last month they've slacked.. but let's consider why shall we?

  • They had GP rework
  • They had MF rework
  • They had a whole new map
  • They had a whole new game mode!
  • They were (I hope) working on opening east coast servers
  • They were (I hope) working on their own network to kill lag, honestly i don't know if its true but heres the source http://kotaku.com/league-of-legends-is-building-its-own-network-to-kill-l-1677872200
  • With all this considered, they've still been dishing out skins, fixing bugs, disabling champions we hate (For bugs), fixing a ranked bug and so much more that we don't even know about!!

So please, cut the company some slack, they are working very hard just to please us! Not trying to be a riot fanboy here, but i know when something is unreasonable, and all the hate on riot recently, is definitely unreasonable.

Criticizing is easy, understanding the difficulties involved in actually doing something is not. Riot has some thick skin, they'll be fine.

There's a pretty large number of topics fitting that description that never see a red post.

I think you're talking about this? Central servers seems to be the plan, not East coast.

all the hate on riot recently, is definitely unreasonable.

Personally, I'd be more understanding if Riot had at least properly handled Pool Party minions instead of only enabling them on SR. Especially with the "We're working on Champion Mastery, yet have no plans to extend it to the rest of the maps" thing, Riot's just continuing its history of abuse and neglect of alternate map players.

On top of this, there are barely any well written and thought out posts on the boards at all, and even if there are, rest assured riot does view them. You can not assume that just because riot did not REPLY to a post, they did not view and absorb information from it.

The reason other maps and game modes were created was a direct result of the community wanting it. Riot has stressed repeatedly that they would like to enforce the summoners rift to be the main game mode and map, the pool party minions and champion mastery were no sign of inexperience, nor abuse.

Honestly, equality to other maps and modes is and should be the last thing on riots to do list. On top of this, riot is already working diligently to fix other problems players have been whining about. Thanks for the reply though!

I don't expect a reply to every well-written post. (There actually are a decent number of those, depending on where you look. For instance, Memes & Games and Fantasy LCS probably have much fewer than the other boards.) I just wanted to point out the exaggeration that Riot has responded to all of them.

Personal dislike of Kotaku aside, I checked that link you provided. It actually is the same thing I linked. It'll reduce lag, but killing lag isn't really feasible.

The first mention of Pool Party minions being only for SR was in the rewards distribution thread that went up after/as the event finished. The announcement for the event itself specified that every map would contribute to the community goals. Claiming "Pool Party Minions for every lane!" and then going "lolnope, only on SR" is a slap in the face.

Honestly, equality to other maps and modes is and should be the last thing on riots to do list.

I don't think any alternate maps players realistically hope for equality at this point. SR is the main game mode, and no one's arguing against that. We just want to be treated as actual players like the rest of the playerbase, not as black sheep and refuse like we have been.

the board are for complaining.

posts like 'good job riot! you are doing well!' are so boring. what can you say to that? there is no conversation in that.

I like posts that say 'this sucks and here is why' and then I can argue with them. much more interesting.
