what would Garen's reaction be if Taric stole Katarina from him? Lol.

Garen wouldn't react. He is far more interested in his duty to Demacia and to his family. Katarina does interest him, but he finds her far more interesting as an opponent on the battlefield than a "partner" of that nature.

She does not believe in honor and integrity. She would gladly watch Demacia burn. No matter what physical interest there is between them, Garen would kill her if he had the chance. There are no summoners to force a truce between the two nations, and so there is no reason for Garen to hold his blade were she near.

It's a dream, perhaps one shared, that might make them hold off fighting for a few seconds when they encounter one another. But it's one with a bittersweet ending. They both know it could never be. They fight with the intent to kill each other because they have to, and deep down they know in their hearts and minds that should they fall it will be to someone worthy.

To me that is far more romantic than any ship.
