More problems with bronze. "Kills = carry"
So in accordance with bronze law, the only way to win a game is by having tons of kills and dealing tons of damage.
_So here's the story. we were in a close game, but suddenly a major throw happened. what happened? as we were defending our base waiting for me (the carry) my team thought it would be a great idea to all in with no towers in a 4 v 5 fight. now i told them, all they had to do was wait all of 10 seconds. i would be up, and be able to ult them into oblivion, after all my greatest skill is disrupting the backline and causing them to lose fights, because im Wukong. _ Why? Greed.
they went all in to get a single kill which they didnt even accomplish, 4 of them died, the last 2 as i respawned. never before have i seen such a monumental throw. they cost the game. there was nothing i alone could do against 4, i took my final death defending the nexus to the last breath, i died "DEFEAT"
but this does make me wonder, what is this strange idea in Bronze that the only way to carry is in kills? i didnt even have the most kills or CS that game, but i still had a substancial gold lead. and why was that? none of my stats were the highest, but do you know what i did do? I secured objectives, i secured vision, when a lane was empty i darted straight for it to take its towers and help push, I did nothing but peel if the enemy lee sin (who was fed) got to my ADC, regardless of how toxic he was i went in and stopped him HARD. and you know what happened? he died, my carry lived, and lee fell off HARD.
but this still got to me... was one Nidalee so enticing that it was worth throwing the game over? Apparently. after everyone died they were yelling at eachother for not getting her. all they had to do was wait 7 seconds. the enemy wasn't even fully in our base and we had both nexus turrets up... they could have EASILY just stood ground for 7 seconds. and if they had we would have had a clean shot to their base.
Bronze players are TOO AGGRESSIVE.
- Plain and simple. they dont CS in lane at all instead opting to spam mana and poke, instead of hitting minions
- they will chase and chase, and chase, feed an already fed enemy say "worf" then 5 minutes later complain at how fed they are.
- They will do stupid early game tower dives (most often stun bots) then blame the supp/jg for not following them.
- They will throw entire games over a single Nidalee.
- They would rather chase a lone tank through jg to get that ace than push a tower
- In the process of doing that the rest of the enemy gets up anyway, wasting the time they had to take some advantage.
- We have a fully pushed wave and the enemy has 50 second respawn times yet they will go for Baron
- The ADC will jump through the front line tanks just to get a ton of kills'
but in the end it doest matter, because the person with the most kills isnt always the carry. bronze players are told by higher elo players to "carry yourself" but this message needs a bit of fixing. and "carry yourself" needs to be expanded. to carry yourself isnt to get a bunch of Kills, to carry yourself and your team is to do what needs to be done, wether through objectives, or being a Team player. Ive had many games where we won not because i got a million kills, but because I PUSHED.
I ignored them calling me bad and soimply pushed where i could. I got to that nexus and won the game on my own. and after the game screen it wasnt the ADC who has 11 kills to my 3 that won in gold. it was me. on the flip side, there can also be those players who dont help the team at all and push all game -
dont do that. this isnt saying "just push to win" it's me saying to be a team player. follow up on plays if you can and push when you can, when you gain the ability to multitask, bronze becomes slightly easier. but even still in this tank meta solo carrying is harder than ever, and now more than ever is a reliance on your teammates, and your own skill.
I'm putting this out to tell the masses where im at, please just stop being so aggressive.
