Most MMOs have some kind of a system to turn off hats and facemasks if you don't like them. While I admit for some champs this would be difficult or impossible for (IE zed or kayle of because unmasked kayle), would this feature be doable in the future?
In particular, I'm not a fan of all the hats in the game (or garen's scarf). Could it be done so players could turn them off when they wanted to?
Currently we have the ability to do this as you see in Vi's Neon Strike skin. If you use her taunt, her glasses come down. It's something I'd like to implement on a champion or skin someday, but with a helmet.
Right now I'm pretty sure we can use the same function for a number of things.

That would mean they'd have to model the parts of the champions that are now covered, which would probably be a ton of additional work, especially considering the number of champions we have currently.
This is a really cool idea, but I think for some champions the hat is part of their "silhouette." Meaning it probably would make it too difficult to identify them at a glance if that part was taken away. I can see this working for Garen's scarf though, since a lot of his skins don't even have one.
It'd probably be a lot of work for Riot to do it with old champions too, as much as I'd like to see it. But I really hope options like that start happening regularly with future champions, because it sounds awesome.
