So if you're like me (and like 1/2 of the world) you probably saw this animated short with the memorial at the end. You might ask why it's a big deal and why I'm posting it on the forums.

Because "The Last Bastion" isn't all Yvain worked on.

That's right, Yvain also worked on "A New Dawn". Something many consider one of League's best (possibly the best) cinematic to date. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzHrjOMfHPY

So, y'know, RIP you talented man.

I played the shit out of Bastion because of this Short; Rest In Peace Yvain Gnabro, still influencing people to this day with your work.

This cinematic hits all the emotional notes without a single word of spoken dialogue. Reminds me of the first half of Wall-E.

Look, I don't even play Overwatch (wish i could though), and I absolutely loved this cinematic, it's so beautiful, full of emotion and even touching, all that without a single line of dialogue. It delves into it's character : Bastion, the shots (or panels) are amazing everything looks alive and believable, from the lightning to the grass and dirt. This cinematic makes me want to play this game so bad. Its a masterpiece! I love these types of cinematics! I only wish we could have stuff like this in League. I understand Riot is not Blizzard, but I can't help but wounder how a cinematic like this one would be if it centered around a character like Zac, Gnar or Poppy. This animated short is amazing and you know Blizzard is doing a damn good job. Rest in Piece Yvain Gnabro.
