Well you got to gold BECAUSE it was your first ranked season because Riot fucked up the system good and made it that you're almost guaranteed to place higher if this is your first season than if this is your second or higher.

How is it harder? you go to the same spot you were at. If riot reset the system anyways you would place higher but you would drop lower because you are still bad .

Riot does a partial reset at the start of each season, moving players closer to 1200 MMR (which is where fresh accounts start).

So, new players will probably have an easier time climbing to Gold than Bronze players, since their initial MMR is higher due to not tanking it in previous seasons.

Really? Because I went 6/4, albeit not amazing, and got in Bronze 2, while last season I went 4/6 and was put in Silver 4. Additionally, my friends from school went 7/3 and 4/6, this being their first season, and 7/3 was put in Silver 3 and 4/6 was put in Bronze 1. So if 4/6 is better than 6/4, let me know.

if my not be much but I will continue to climb and you say it is not much but most of the people who play league are stuck in bronze and silver

Likewise. Played ranked for the first time this season and made it to Gold5 in about 30 games.

I'm quite happy that I qualified for the Victorious Skin this season.

I have been playing league since season 2 but have not started playing ranked til season 5. People made ranked out to be more terrifying then it actually was imo.

Maybe because when I went 8-2 in those games I carried the shit out of those games. And it does not matter where you place because if you are truly better then where you are placed you will rise in elo to where you belong
