A way to help with AFK players

A crazy idea but what if Riot added a formula to the game where after say 5 minutes from then on whenever a champion levels all the champions levels are added together then divided by 10 and no individual champion can fall below this level. Ex say blue top lane is afk, red top lane would be lvl 5 say, mid would be lvl 6 each, jungle and bot lvl 5 for arguments sake. This means that the champion lvls are 1 lvl 1, 1 lvl 5, 2 lvl 6 and 4 lvl 5. This means that all the lvls combined are level 38 now we divide by 10 giving us 3.8. Now the afk champion would be given enough exp to reach about lvl 3.8 This means when he reconnects instead of finding a lvl 1 champion while his lane opponent is already lvl 5. Basically this prevents players with crappy internet fall too far behind in exp.

I thought this post was going to be about giving the remaining 4 players on the team an EXP boost so they actually have a chance in a 4v5, which I think would be a much better idea.

Interesting idea, but people who afk all game should definitely be punished. Could use some work.

inst exp per minion already increase as the game goes on? same for jungle objective. that was add for people who fall behind for losing game, also your solution doesn't help afks only disconcerting people if i read it right.

I really don't think that would improve anything. I don't think many players that are gone for extended periods of time ever come back for one. In any situation where the AFK doesn't come back this is going to make it even harder to do anything since not only are you down a man, but that AFK player is leeching your XP.

Honestly I find the current rate of AFKing to be pretty well under control. Its maybe a little higher than I personally find acceptable, but shit happens. By far the biggest thing I want to see with AFKs is a way to get out of those games after someone is afk. Even if you still mark it as a loss, I just want out. Also games where people never connect after say 5 minutes should just end.

"players with crappy internet" should not play in all Honesty, but it may not even be their internet that causing the disconnects.

"Best Package for Solo player (BELL.ca) 50kps Download spd 10kps Upload speed & unlimited GB if you want lol."

A family of 7. 3 boys 4 Girls. Lets say all the girls had "Laptops going wireless" & one the other boys has a "custom made desktop", so if he went wired he will mostly get better connection than the girl with 3 wireless laptops. Even so if the other 2 Boys have the consoles Xbox One & Ps4. I say you absolutely would want to have your "bandwidth" checked out, because if 4 other people in the same household are using the same internet too You going to be LAGGY As HELL & PSN & Xbox Live would just kick you offline everytime.

in my experiences if the afk doesn't come back within the first few min he wont come back at all. the few times they do its when everyone is level 12+ and that person was more than likely expecting your team to surrender (i know a person irl that does this. he logs back in after a long time if the games still going he dcs again and watches a tv show or something the scumbag). i don't think it would help much.

if it was a legitimate afk like a squirrel blew up a transformer outside your house (heh personal experience) then i might lean toward the idea. that's my 2 cents at least :)
