Top Is Seemingly Very Snowbally And One-Sided This Season

Last season I would notice more often than not that when a lane lost really hard, it was bot lane. The ADC/Support or both would just do terrible, if anyone would more often than not (not saying this was every game, just when it was the case of clear outplaying or bad play to a large degree). This season it seems to be top lane taking that roll with bot being much less one-sided.

I wonder why the meta keeps shifting to such a degree where stomps like this happen, because it is pretty ridiculous right now when I don't get top (which I rarely do since my secondary role is support, so that's fun). I don't see lanes getting outright stomped too often, but when they do this season, it seems to more often than not be top, which is really bad since that is so easy a lane to snowball off of a lead. A good top laner can win you the game and a bad one can easily lose you the game, and it is making my queue experience pretty frustrating.

Is anyone else finding this to be true this season, and if not what lanes/roles are you seeing be the most one-sided more often than not?

You clearly didn't play top lane back in season 3 or early season 4 where Shyvana and Renekton were king and being forced out of lane once means you don't get to farm anymore. Today's top lane is much tamer by comparison.

I agree with you. While mid lane can just focus on farm and w8 for jungler, bottom lane depends from your composition of support+adc, that top lane is disaster. Most of time its all about snowballing e.g Fiora top or volibear with full domination on lane. You are dependent from junglers help ;/

It's kinda dependent on the champion. Some characters can easily come back from a rough start, but the popular ones are all snowball-reliant these days.

Honestly? The whole game is just snowbally as hell this season. It's across all lanes, not just top.

Assassin meta's back in, so mid is hellish again. One good all-in and you spend almost the rest of the laning phase behind.

Jungle either snowballs into a roaming nightmare what will either splitpush, assassinate, or become a nearly unkillable mess. Or...nothing...just another body.

Bot perhaps feels the most even right now to me, in a straight out 2v2. But if you lose bot you lose hard usually. There's just not enough time these days to get back into the game as a gold dependent character when you need to be with your team to counterseige by 25 minutes.

My opinions are exaggerated a little bit, I'm sure, but from a feels perspective I wish that games honestly lasted longer.
