Some of this community make new players experience quite poor.

Played a game with a full party of friends last night. Among them was a new player, level 7 or 8 I believe. We'd told him to try the game out, and he enjoyed it playing against the bots, or at least the concept of it. That is until we played a blind pick. Anytime he was killed, the entire enemy team wrote "EZ" explained to him how bad he was, ect. I even said to them, "guys we have a new player, no need to be dicks about it." To which they replied so do we and continued to all game. Now even if this is true, (they had a level 22 so hardly as new as he was) why persist? Really ruined is experience with the game.

After the game you could see they had quite a few wins, a few close to 2000. Now personally, when I started playing this game a few years ago, the community was much better, at least from what I can remember. I tried duo tops, Anivia supports, ect and was never flamed for it. Most people were either in the same spot as me, or remembered what it was like.

But at the end of the day, what do you get from making fun of a brand new player to the game? If you want this game to keep growing, it's going to require new players, and just like with anything, new players are going to suck. Hopefully he sticks with the game, as it is a lot of fun, just the community can suck sometimes.

I honestly haven't had anyone be nasty to me (yet) and I just got to 8.

To be honest I think it would help a lot if there were a new player forum here, that way new players could friend each other to play together. If lvl 20-30 want to join up with them, then they know going in we're not going to be very good.

All of the lvl 20+ people I've played with have been pretty great and patient. That's not to say I haven't had some games where it was a terrible experience, there just wasn't any verbal abuse.
