What do you guys think about the rework? I kinda like it but I'm already scared about possible nerfs. I didn't want him to be changed for that reason. His new ult/passive really fits his identity though and I like that. It will also deal tons of more damage but at the same time it will separate the good Vel'Koz players from the bad because you actually have to land 3 stacks to deal the true damage. His Q which was already a really good poking skill will be even stronger especially with Vel'Koz support...

Overrall I am glad they didn't change the feel of his kit and pretty much kept it the same. What do you think?

I like this new VELKOZ. I've done the math and the new VELKOZ does about the same damage to squishes but because of the the true damage, it does a lot more to tanks which was how riot was reworking VELKOZ for. To land the 410 true damage, you'd have to land your combo. Landing your combo with the new VELKOZ would actually come close in terms of the magnitude of damage. But in the end, the new VELKOZ would do more damage since its all true damage. Assuming both VELKOZ have 500 AP ( to make the math easy for me) and are lv 16 and assuming he lands the full channel of the ult, the old VELKOZ would deal 900+300= 1200 magic damage ( which can be reduced with mr. I know velkozs right now builds magic pen, but it doesn't completely ignore mr just close) and 410 true damage. The new VELKOZ would deal 1050+500= 1550 magic or true damage. It comes really close but since the new VELKOZ would be dealing full true damage, I think it breaks the tie which I don't mind since the rework was aimed at destroying tanks, not squishes so riot did a good job. I have 600k mastery points in VELKOZ.
