"Click-Magnet" Because Magnets Both Attract & Repel
So my title is a pun. It is a combination of the term 'click-bait' and a reference to one of the more recent (and more funny) jokes from a Sonic commercial, with those two complete morons. I usually can't stand those commercials, but that one made me giggle. .. And of course physics, ..
But I digress, ...
I felt this title was appropriate for the topic of this post.
I have noticed that there are some things that can be attract views, comments, upvotes, and so on, simply based on what you say in the status. Literally, click-bait.
But I have also noticed that there are some things that will actually work as anti-click-bait. These things will often result in immediate downvotes without even being viewed. I absolutely know that it happens, I've actually had people tell me they do it.
So I wanted to create a discussion for what words or phrases people see in titles that lead you to know that whatever the post is about, it is going to be bad.
In some cases this causes people to simply downvote, sometimes people will just pass right by, and sometimes people will have a look, just because they want to see the tragedy that will follow.
What I'm looking for
Of course, it's a discussion board, so you're free to say whatever you like, but what I think would be interesting would be to see examples, Such as,
Bye! I Quit! F you Riot! Plz Ban Nerf/buff Riven, Zed, Yasuo, Teemo, ... (lol) Rageblade (This one hurts me) .... .... and so on...
Also, if you would like to elaborate on why some of these things fill you with hatred, please do.
