As with the topic title, My friends who have taken a very great interest in League, have recently been getting their asses OBLITERATED by players with Smurf accounts. Im currently Bronze IV (Because fuck you placements) and my 3 friends, levels 18, 25, and 30, getting pulverized. Is this fair though? Is it really fair to set people who are ACTUALLY new to the game against players who are High Elo and doing a smurf? I understand that a High ELO player who gets his friends into the game and wants to play with them at a skill level they understand, but is it right when your pub stomping people who are new? Let me know what you think.

It's ok when you are doing it to introduce some friends into the game but you really should handicap yourself in some way. Like I only play one champion and request to play in the role that is least capable of carrying a team to victory. So I play Taric support. And on rare occasions I get sent to top lane. As Taric I can create a lot of openings for my team to get ahead but they still have to make smart decisions to win the game for themselves.

And I do not feel guilty about it either because me smurfing evens out the Smurf on the other team because there is bound to be at least one. And playing as arguably the worst champion in the weakest role on the team, if I can beat you and you are a Smurf then you need to go back to playing on your main account where you can actually learn to get better.

Honestly, the way Riot could fix it is make an option to let people who want a smurf buy it in store with IP. Then they can set up username, password, email, etc. have the new account be set to level 20, and have a certain amount of IP.

Maybe this wouldn't solve it, but it could help.

I think it's fine. It's a way that they can learn by analyzing what the enemy is doing during lane phase. And in all honesty, most smurfs are bronze level players that are banned for being toxic. There actually isn't too big of a discrepancy in skill since these players are almost always super low elo anyways.
