How can we make the playing environment BETTER for everyone?
This is a rundown of my past 3 normal games.
Me (ADC): I have this idea about how I want to play the game, because I'm the most comfortable with this style of play. Support: Well, this idea conflicts with what I want to do, so it must be wrong.
Mid(Galio): There are four people grouped up and we have four people on our team here. I will flash-ult them so then my team can follow up. Support: We all died, so that was a bad engage. Why did this idiot engaged badly?
Jungle: I will continue to gank mid because I want to help him get ahead. Top: I'm losing lane. What is the jungler doing? If they helped me, I could win my lane.
In case you didn't catch on to this, I'm trying to summarize the thoughts of the players on my team when they start to be rude to others; none of this was actually said. The problem I'm seeing a lot of is that everyone has their own plan during a game, and once it starts to get infringed upon, players don't know what to do and, out of frustration, start being toxic.
It sucks what results do people; if you're winning then everything is fine, but if you're losing then everyone is blaming each other, not owning up to their own mistakes and not having fun. If you're having fun playing while losing, it's hard to maintain it when your chat is full of toxic comments that never needed to be said. I'm probably going to have to find a friendly group to play with because I can't stand being blamed for other people's mistakes CONSTANTLY.
Muting is an option but not one I'm willing to take; in order to catch back up when losing, my team needs to communicate, and muting them just obliterates a chance at a comeback.
Other than not being toxic in chat, what can we all do to not only keep League of Legends fun for us, but for other people? I try to be as nice as possible, sparking conversation at the beginning of the game, and even complimenting plays when things look dire. I would love to hear some stories from the community about some positive experiences, as well as actions they do to keep spirits up!
