Help a Summoner Out

I'm just writing this to raise some awareness, because I think LoL would be a better place if this happened...

I'm fairly new to the game, so I'm not as skilled as other players. I understand that. However, I was playing Jinx the other day to get better at her play style. I didn't have a great game, which happens to many people. But our jungler... he just kept on complaining about me messing up and saying that "I sucked."

Now, how is that helpful to me? I can't get anything out of people insulting me, but I can get better when others help me and give me advice. I find it very rare that I hand out the "helpful" honor, which makes me very sad.

So please, if you come across a struggling player on your team, don't complain. I admit, it's a little frustrating when someone doesn't pull their weight, but complaining doesn't fix the solution. Just give advice, or encourage them on. Try to help them not make the same mistakes as often.

We all have bad games, but we learn more from those. Please understand! :) Thanks for reading my rage lol

I gave up on giving advice because people don't listen and instead rage at you. Take for instance a recent game in which i ended as a 13-2 jungle Aatrox and the enemy Mundo was 2-11. Now I love the jungle and spend most of my time there. I also am fairly good with Mundo compared to most. Not the best but decent. I saw he was crippling himself in his build path and began to die more and more because of it. So I offer some helpful tips to improve his Mundo for his next game. Instead of "hey thanks man that helps, I'll see what I can do about that." I get "You're a silver nub which belongs in bronze community and is too low to be giving advice to anyone. (note that this man is unranked and just got clobbered not only in kills but in objectives and pressure by me) I'm better 1v1 me nub you are crap."
So you see after getting replies like that I prefer just to rage at people because it's a waste of my time to keep trying the other way.

TL;DR Raging is much more simple and it doesn't waste as much time.

Giving advice is usually taken as an insult as well. Unfortunately, the best course of action seems to be ignore everyone and just play the game. You're always going to get people that are toxic or negative. Just report them at the end of the game and move on.

Once again this is evidence that i need can you see what is happening with the ragers?

they think they know the game, they get mad as this player and report him to see him perma banned for what for bad gameplay? cause he was still learning open your eyes people this is what i been trying to tell you for days, months and even years.....

Eponine9 don't feel bad cause of a rager said things about you and just ignore it for now sadly we still don't have the power to detect this attitude, continue to practice the game and don't friend anyone.

This game is not a sportsmanship game, you will only be making more unwanted enemies game by game.......

I'll be honest, I'm a little gunshy about giving advice. Not to say that I don't do it at all, just that I've often been burned by it, so I tend to be a little careful about who I'll offer advice to.

I might suggest items that are both useful to the team and synergistic with a particular champ, or temporary play suggestions ("try to stay safe under turret, on my way as soon as I back" kind of thing). Beyond that, I try not to discuss mistakes or iffy decisions made by other players during the game. Afterwards, if they stick around, I might offer thoughts on those things, but only if they seemed neutral or receptive during the game.

Part of the reason for this is that I don't believe mid-game is the appropriate time for in-depth discussions about various mechanics or decisions. There's too many other things to pay attention to. Post-game, there's more data to use in the discussion, and more available time to have it. And, of course, the ability to walk away if it goes sour.

Something I've noticed regarding that, by the way: it helps people be more receptive of criticism if I critique myself first, or if I do so more generally, with lots of inclusion words ("we should have been paying more attention to each other's positioning," for example) and fewer isolating words ("you should have paid attention to his positioning").
