one-shot adjectiveNorth Americaninformal adjective: one-shot

achieved with a single attempt or action.
"there is no one-shot solution to the problem"
done, produced, or occurring only once.
    "a one-shot deal"

This only occurs when the opponent is at nearly 100% HP and goes to 0%HP ~85% of champions in this game can not one-shot. The other 15% require abnormal circumstances to become one-shot capable. IE: Veigar / Nasus require a ridiculous amount of stacks to one shot

What most commonly referred to as a one-shot is actually a burst. It's called a one-shot because the victim is often a salty dog after being bursted. Follow up sentences often include "____________ Is BROKEN", "Real hard to press one key", "F*** YOU!!"

"achieved with a single attempt or action"

ATTEMPT

You may define a single action as a single ability, however you can define a single attempt as a single rotation.

Almost every assassin in the game is capable of killing a squishy with a full burst rotation.

Burst = One-shot by this definition.

Idk man, 1 shots in games are different across the genres of the games. 1 shot in a FPS would be a 1 tap, 1 single shot to the head for the kill.

Where as in this game, a 1 shot would be referred to as, i died in under 0.5 seconds, with no time to react, and there being absolutely no way to avoid the instant death. Like veigar does 95% of your life with his LOCK ON UNAVOIDABLE ULT, then finishes you with an auto attack that procced thunderlords. I would consider that a 1 shot, and not a 2 shot since his auto attack isn't an ability.

So technically, there is one shots in this game, and i would define it in THIS GAME as, "not having a chance or even being able to react before you die in 0.5 seconds to a lock on unavoidable ability".
