PSA for ADCs and people in general: Don't be a jerk.
Just played a game as Sona support with this platinum Lucian as my ADC. Asked him what tempo lane he wants, he says we'll be passive and farm up. He also told me to start Q to poke and try to zone the enemy bot lane. Pretty good start.
We leash for our Xin, and we go bot lane and start farming. All is well, I get some harass off the enemy MF and we have an advantage. All of a sudden, Lucian dashes into both of them with a large wave and starts fighting MF. I didn't expect this so I follow him and exhaust the ADC, try to speed him up to escape Vel'Koz's damage, and he flashes AWAY from me with a DoT on him so I couldn't heal him.
First Blood.
He complains that that I was being stupid and I should've followed him, and that the game is "all reaction" when I replied that he wanted a passive farm lane. Fair enough, I say. He then proceeds to keep trying to fight them, getting ganked by Jax before I can even ward, he flames the enemy team, and they flame him back, and the cycle continues. I continue to try to calm this guy down, tell him to just farm up. "I just hate it when pussies like MF get away. I want to f*cking reck noobs." My response? "Ok, you can start destroying them once you farm up and catch up."
It only got worse from there. The final score was us having like 6 kills, 2 of them belonging to me. Our Lucian kept being toxic and trying to fight MF. I even told him to not let them get to him and he said they weren't. So needless to say, we lost. Xin and Lucian got into a fight over Lucian not belonging to Plat, and Lucian calling everyone Bronze...
All of this started because he wanted to go in too early and didn't tell me. I'm his support, I'm a random dude, I don't know how this guy plays. Also, I don't usually play Sona, so I'm not this super-skilled support capable of carrying a feeding Lucian.
The moral of this story is: ADCs. Don't be stupidly aggressive, don't let the raging at your team be a sort of cathartic reaction when you make mistakes, and for the love of Urgod tell your support when you're doing something that involves them. I'm tired of this mindset that your support magically knows what you're doing. And don't try to fight when behind. Even Bronze players know that. Swallow your pride and focus on being an asset, not a liability to your team.
