i used to be able to see the exact number when hovering over the q. where is that now? i cant find it!

You can check on your passive i believe.

Also, look at your buff bar.

At least when I played aganist Veigar, he had a buff with the number of AP he got from the passive.

It's a buff now so both his teammates and his allies know how much ap he farmed exactly.
