While I'm certain Riot's focus will be on LoL, it'd be pretty awesome if they made new standalone games that occur in League's universe. Maybe an RTS or RPG?

It's certainly a possibility.
One poster put it better than me (I wish I could find the post again so I could bookmark it): With this change, Runeterra is no longer made of League characters; League is made of Runeterra characters. In practice, this means a lot more can be done with Runeterra itself - which, yes, includes video games.
But right now it's a wait and see. 'Cause that's all we can do.
This....sounds really cool. The dev blog talked a bit about books and other merchandise, but other games using the same characters would be really cool. I remember someone mentioning a comparison of the lore reboot to how lore is handled in games like Super Smash Bros. (ie. characters have their own stories, but come together to brawl for no particular reason; except with LoL they're all part of the same world and are pretty well connected still). It'd be cool to have some sort of adventure game across Runeterra; maybe once Riot gets Blizzard size they can release an MMO a la WoW (idk, I've heard MMOs are sort of declining lately; I know I don't want another WoW clone).

WHO THE HELL IS JAX NOW?
For one I'd love an RPG because they're never going to focus on any PvE aspects in LoL. I love so many aspects of this game, but I'm just not into multi player these days. Not like when I was younger.
Though if they do make an RPG I'd really regret all of the RP I've purchased while hoping they would implement more PvE features.
I doubt it. They haven't done many games aside from those early arcade clones.
IMO the best option for a game would be a diablo style action RPG, but if it doesn't star Ahri as the led, I wouldn't care about it.
