My FPS is flipping out randomly in games, how do i fix this?

It generally starts happening during teamfights. My settings are all turned down as low as possible so im confused as to why.

Just recently like the last 2 days

There's a few possibilities here then. It's likely not your hardware unless your fan burned out. You can check this easily by putting your hand on your computer after you finish a game of league. If it is hot to the touch then your fan may have burned out, in which case you should buy a new one or just point an external fan at your PC while you play to keep it cooler.

First off, it may be server issues with Riot. This does happen occasionally and even when I have 100 mbps download and 10 mbps upload I'll occasionally experience complete lack of communication due to server lag. If you don't think this is the issue, then it's probably a software problem.

First thing you should do is check your active programs. Control alt delete and open your task manager and look around. If you find something running that takes a ton of performance from your PC, google the name to make sure it's not an important task and then end it. If you find out it's malware, then you can generally remove the program in your uninstall menu.

If that doesn't help then I'd recommend running some malware sweeping programs. CCleaner is a good one, obviously run your virus scan for Norton or whatever antivirus software you have, and then look for a third party program called Ad-Aware.

If none of the above works then it could be an issue with the drivers for your graphics card. Look up your graphics card and go to the company's website to download their most updated driver. Install that and hopefully it will help.

Fun fact: Control-Shift-Esc opens your task manager. You'll never go back to Control-Alt-Delete again.
