I'm Silver - I'm Not Good At This Game - Help Me Improve

I will be the first to admit I am not good at this game from a mechanical level. I like to think I know a lot about strategy as an analyst, but as someone doing the playing, I have trouble putting the knowledge into practice.

The games I win are usually completely based on knowing the right thing to do, knowing the matchup, and knowing the limits of my champion. I still have trouble with nerves in certain positions like jungle. Laugh if you have to, but playing jungle just scares the crap out of me because it is so important, and I know I will mess up.

After all this time, I am still in Silver, it is embarrassing, I know I'm bad, but I don't know how to improve. I'm not aspiring to become some LCS pro or anything, but I would personally like to just start small and eventually get out of Silver. After that I set another goal.

I don't know the right way to improve my mechanics as I don't usually focus on mechanics, I focus on strategy macro wise, but that doesn't always translate into a win in the lane or the game and that is on me as a player. I think I underestimated how hard going from analyzing the game and helping someone with strategy to playing the game is, and I'm having trouble.

I main 3 roles in ranked if it helps

In no real order:

Top/Mid/Support

I love playing Morgana in mid or support and I enjoy Trundle and Nautilus as far as tank supports go.

In mid, as I said, I love Morgana , but I also enjoy Orianna and Ziggs.

In top I play almost exclusively Rumble right now.

Again, I feel like I know things, but have trouble moving them into the game, so if you can help, PLEASE do. Don't be afraid to tell me something you think is obvious, because to me it might not be, or if nothing else, I appreciate you trying to help.

Honestly, I think if you focus on your mechanics more you will probably end up doing much better in games. When it comes down to it you should always try to predict what the enemy will do, But of course it's hard to predict what they will do so i think of it like this. think about what YOU would do if YOU were in their shoes and use this to make a decision on dodging their skill shot. Another thing to note is don't focus on your teammates ONLY focus on yourself and improve yourself, If you see someone making mistakes don't focus and rage them, just keep your focus on the game at hand and focus on what YOU can do to come back, just focus on yourself. I myself am only G4 but getting to G5 from S3 was actually quite tedious and i think mechanics can really be a game changer, For example, I play Ahri quite a bit and there have been a few games where just a simple charm would change the outcome of the game. Sometimes dodging things like a simple charm can really make the difference between winning a game/ getting and objective/ getting a kill. If you want to practice mechanics maybe try more mobile champs. I personally like Yasuo, Lee Sin, And my home girl Ahri.

Sorry for the very long paragraph but this is imo a way to improve and climb through ranked, I'm only G4 so my advice may not be as good as someone who is in a higher league.

I agree with lopsided turd. I'm not the best player out there, but I went from b4 to gold 1, and im trying to get plat in the next two weeks. I play a lot of Orianna or I jg (~ sej69%WR&diana61%WR) if you want any help with Ori or if you want to jg more you can add me IG^w^
