Lol remember when Ahri mains were raging about how the "nerfs" she was getting were going to gut her

Meanwhile, she is probably the strongest mid laner currently.

"OMG, who cares that we are actually getting compensation buffs for the small nerf and for DFG removal (sorry Veigar)? She will be trash tier!"

Err... Annie higher combined pick/ban rate and higher win rate mid lane at plat+ elo ranked. Just saying. Also much easier to play.

Anyways, I was someone who didn't like the Ahri changes (although I don't believe I said she would be trash tier, just that she'd be better without any changes and didn't need DFG compensation), and while I still play Ahri and still find success with her, I'd still rather have her as she was before.

The main reason being that I still think that players have been too clueless to learn how to play against an Ahri. I mean, she's a kite mage. That shouldn't work. Why are you chasing an incredibly mobile, high damage, ranged champion through the jungle for a kill? Ignore her and go after that objective. She's great at getting away, make her come to you, then destroy her because she's squishy, has easily dodged CC, and can't 100-0 your squishy unless she's fed (and any mid-lane champion is OP when fed).

She works because the average player gets caught up trying to chase her to secure a kill and cares more about kills than objectives. Her poke pushes the lane but she can't insta-clear unless she gets an early lead. She goes OOM easily in lane if you use more than 1 Q per wave (before morellonomicon), which isn't enough to successfully out-poke most opponents before going for a kill. She can't roam early because of the prior comments. She has limited tower pressure. She brings lots of utility and AOE damage to fights and has a lot of clear strengths as well. Seriously though, ward those bushes so you don't check a charm to the face, watch her mana in lane (because you'll dominate when she's low), and don't stand all on the same spot or in a line so her AOE true damage doesn't wreck your entire team (which at least isn't a Malphite ult or something) and most importantly don't chase her after a successful fight when there are objectives waiting to be taken, and you'll be fine against her.

At least pre changes, she could reliably flash+charm or R+E in to her combo to 100-0 an adc/apc regardless of how the enemy knew how to play. Post-changes, Ahri can be negated to an early 0/0/0 where she can't help her team much at all unless they're already winning.
