Ranked Queue Needs 6 Bans asap. Pro Play Does Not I Feel.
My reasoning for this is, firstly I don't believe the pros currently need more than 4 if Riot should even raise it past 3 per team. I think where the pros are currently, is perfectly fine for a good team environment.
Ranked queues however, really needs more than 3. Currently it is far too easy for whoever is first or second pick to be countered and no way to ban out what they know will counter what they plan to pick. More often than not, I find people won't switch with me, because even supports argue they would rather counter pick, so I'm left to blind pick mid or top first pick or second pick more often than not.
Example why everyone in ranked queue needs their own single ban:
I just played a game planned to play Rumble, and I don't feel he has too many bad matchups that are likely to be played, the problem is, Yasuo is one of them, and he WILL be played. I asked my team to ban it for me, and instead they just banned their own lanes (two of the three were duo so they just banned what the other wanted). Of course, I pick Rumble, the enemy quick picks Yasuo.
I was countered really hard, couldn't walk up to farm because he would chunk me, couldn't farm from further with E (harpoon) because of wind wall. Jungler told me he refused to gank me because "yasuo is hard to gank" (he was one of the ones who told me no, when I asked to Ban Yasuo in champ select). So I fell behind in cs, and the jungle and mid just mocked and flamed me for (the duo) "not being able to farm", refused to help, then got mad I didn't tp gank with no items, and had to use tp to get back to lane as Yasuo just hard pushed to take turret.
With a simple ban of my own, I could have prevented that, and been fine. Instead I had to rely on 3 people that will only ban selfishly, leaving two people out of the process to likely get counter picked now with no recourse to help it themselves. So honestly I feel everyone needs their own ban in ranked queues
Honestly if Riot wants us to play with more "Team play" in mind, then they need to give more options for allowing everyone on the team to have input not just in the game, but before it as well. I think it made more sense when the first pick could ban, as they were the one most likely to be counter picked. I don't understand neither first or second pick getting a ban. Having last pick in the OLD system of champ select was bad usually. Having last pick in the current champ select is by far the best slot. You will get a ban, and you are almost always guaranteed a counter pick.
