When will we get another AP Support?
Last one we got was
[People don't even build much AP on him either due to his short range]
From then we've gotten
(Assassin)
(Tank Support)
(Marksman)
(Fighter)
(Marksman)

I play Bard tanky, not AP o.O
There are also Annie and brand. I feel like aurelion sol is gonna be a straight up mage for the Midland because we haven't gotten one in so long, and in general Riot has ignored the mid lane with their new champ releases.
I think we got quite a number of AP supports though, what I'm really interested in is an AD support for a change.
The only one that comes close to that is
and if anythign he is hybrid. Maybe
too, if you stretch the definition of a support. (he got CC and Armor reduction)

Thinking about supports as AD or AP strikes me as the wrong way to think about supports: they often have such a lacking income building end-game damage on them usually isn't the greatest idea.
I mean: look at the support builds on "AP" supports in pro-games like:
with
Such AP, much wow.
Generally speaking you're going to do more damage with any support via a CDR+Tanky build so rather than 1 QWER then exploding you can break out the QWERQQQQWE strats.
Supports usually interact with AP in a similar fashion as
as well: scaling much better with combat stats that specifically aren't AP than combat stats that are (AS in WW and Shyvana's case, Magic pen in Elise's case).
AP scaling only really matters if a game really drags on or you go into a non-support roll in a non-support lane, in which case pretty much every existing "AP" support does a lot more damage with an AD build than an AP build as-is.
AD
is pretty similar to
in damage-steroids, mobility, and better self peel, where Janna +AP isn't killing anything ever.
