4800 IP Champ?

I'm looking at picking up a new champ and want to get something that can go mid or top so I can play it more often. I considered morde but he isn't really strong right now so I can add him later when I get better (more importantly I don't have SV quints yet). Looking at 4800 IP champs and wondering what to get. Front runners are as fizz was designed by someone who made other champs I like so might be fun, Swain was recommended as a strong top mid champ w/ aoe/tank factors (I like objective control and fast push best, but don't think there are mid top flex options for that, so AOE damage and survivability are probably next on the list) , and Vlad is great sustained damage, plus a terrible match up for which is what I mainly play, so when my main is picked I'd have a champ that matches up well vs him.

Any advice on stuff I should consider? Are there champs I'm overlooking? Should I just save up for a 6300 champ?
