Gnar or Azir?

I can only afford one right now and I haven't been seeing a lot of gameplay from either of them so I don't think they are very popular though I have heard negative talk about both champions with people saying Gnar isn't really good in top lane and Azir is very difficult to play and has lots of weaknesses that are easy to exploit but I was kind of leaning toward Azir I thought he looked fun to play though granted I've never actually played him. I did play Gnar during free week when he first came out and I did pretty well with him and managed to get a lot of kills but I don't like the fact that I can't control when he transforms....

If you had to pick between Gnar and Azir which one would you pick in why? or better yet which one would you rather have on your team? I'm just curious to hear your reasons it will help me come to a decision faster.

PS: I hate the new forums and have no idea in what section I should ask this question to the community so I just put it under Miscellaneous figured I couldn't go wrong with that.

i'd rather play Gnar but have Azir on my team. Azir brings a lot of utility, if not a lot of power. Gnar is just your typical top laner with an odd power structure.

Azir is still currently buggy, so best to stick with the more familiar & bugless one, namely Gnar.

Unless you are really good at the game I would get gnar. Azir is incredibly complex to play and will take a very long time to get good at unless you are high elo yourself. And even then a lot of pro players struggle with him.
