Why are people still building Runeglaive in mid lane? Also is Sated Devourer that next big thing?

The patch was pretty clear that it no longer turns your attacks into magic damage and that it only works IN THE JUNGLE, I still see people playing mid Ezreal with Runeglaive even though it's pretty much worthless on him now, that pretty much goes for any midlaner that use to build Runeglaive.

I've also noticed some people are experimenting with Sated Devourer in lane, I saw a Gnar build it in top lane and he went 8/2/5 and it seems like it makes junglers like Yi even more unstoppable, actually any jungler that builds a lot of AS would benefit from it.

Everyone remembers Lantern Warwick, I'm actually really curious how strong Sated Devourer is on WW and I'm also interested in trying it out on Rengar. I know a lot of people usually just go for the Warrior enchantment for Rengar but I did see some AS builds on him, granted his empowered Q gives him an AS steroid.

Spoiler alert: if you don't completely deny WW his entire jungle before 20 minutes, he will 1 V 5 your team and win. I've lost around 5 matches now to a Sated Devourer WW with BotRK and Spirit Visage. You have absolutely zero chance of making it out, it's completely broken.

Because those are LCS fanboys who don't even read patch notes and are still watching LCS build smite Ezreal because LCS is a patch behind. Seeing as they don't even know what is going on in the game, you usually don't have to worry about them, they are garbage.

They still play it because AP Ezreal is fun to play.

The reasoning (right or wrong) behind continuing to pick Runeglaive over Lich Bane is that item 3724 will still boost your waveclear (you earn more gold), it costs 750g less than Lich Bane, gives an earlier power spike because of the lower cost, and CDR early on Ezreal can be an amazing boost depending on your play style. Add to that the ability to help secure objectives for your team and there's nothing preventing you from selling it for a Lich Bane later in the game when you get more AP and CDR from other sources.

I haven't been able to play enough this patch to know for myself which I prefer, but I know the CDR and objective control were very nice things to have when Runeglaive was strong. Those things haven't changed with the Runeglaive nerf.
