Because its aram. its for fun. aram games dont last every long anyways

They leave it in for the same reason they leave it in Crystal Scar, Twisted Treeline, and Summoner's Rift. While a victory may be certain and inevitable for one side, some people do not with to play it out and just want to queue up for another.

I get that, but seems so out of place on aram

It may seem out of place, but it's the escape button that is always an option to those who just don't want to play a game anymore. It's like getting screwed on a team composition (since it's random) and just sitting there dying in vain as the enemy team dances around instead of ending.

nope. the longest ive ever had was around 32 minutes

There are people out there who will literally drag it out to keep abusing you when you get fked by random and they are all smurf aram accounts. Surrender is needed for this kind of toxicity. Hell I think it should be dropped down to ten minutes personally from 15.

Ive had a 50 minute long aram, trust me aram is more intense than ranked to win. if you win as a completely random champion (say you own them all) without the ability to go back and heal/buy whenever you want, you are a league god
