Does Riot even care about Morde and his Players? (Rust in Peace Morde)

Is there anyone at Riot that actually thinks about how much these changes hurt the former Mordekaiser enthusiasts?

At this point it’s safe to say that all the changes are trying to force Riot’s own spin on Morde on and completely disregard any connection one could have had with the champion. He isn’t metal anymore He isn’t a badass haunting a solo lane anymore He’s completely team reliant He isn’t unique anymore

Instead of actually pooling your resources and gave Morde the whole package of VU, Kit rework, lore change and actually expand on his themes you went the lazy route and half assed every change.

You could have played up his connection to Pain, Metal and undeath, the holy trinity of his character but instead you went with the edgy deathknight, a concept that’s way too overused.

It’s truly disheartening to see one’s favourite champion being kicked even once he’s down. Whatever happened to treating your creations and your fans with respect? Mordekaiser could have been so much more than a walking gimmick and I gave you the benefit of the doubt and crossed my fingers that you might revisit him and actually make him live up to his title and expectations set by his character.

But no, you backstabbed us, deceived us, never shall we tolerate your lies again. I feel less and less attached to Morde, the only thing actually making me play this game since early season three and this isn’t really a healthy omen. I tried to give your rework a chance, I tried to share my own opinion on it, I tried to urge you to make Mordekaiser the pinnacle of what a successful rework could be.

But no, riot does what riot wants, which is fine if it wouldn’t come with complete silence on the matter, spitting in our faces and maiming our main.

Every change ever since patch 5.16 feels like a rusty nail being rammed into our already bleeding metal hearts and it makes me sick that I ever thought Morde may come out of this as a better champion.
