Does Having An Uber Positive Attitude Help?

I have been trying to reclaim my old rank of platinum. I am currently sitting at the bottom of Gold, like 0LP, win 4 games and lose all LP in 1 game type thing. I have been super frustrated with it, because the level of play is honestly gone way downhill from when I remember finally making it to gold. As I sailed through Gold into Plat at the end of S3, I realized how different the level of play actually is. However, now I am stuck in this Abyss of people raging so hard that it hurts to think people possess this kind of attitude. So, rather than trying to defend my actions, or someone elses, I have decided to see if having a SUPER positive attitude will help. I am talking over the top positive over everything. 0-20 in your lane? That's ok dude, your trying, just have fun, you got this. Just lost a big teamfight? Hey team, I really appreciate your efforts in that fight, lets bounce back and get us the win! I have a sub par win/loss ratio in my old ways. Now I will go through every game keeping only utmost positivity and trying to ensure that allies and foes know that it is just a game. I am still going to try my ass off every game to win, but shall i not succeed, at least I will still have fun!

I will report my results in about a week or so with how it helped, if I ended up climbing or not, or if my win/loss rate improved as well as my general enjoyment of the game.

Honestly it does not. Countless games have I grown annoyed at the "we can still win this!" type when the enemy team is incredibly fed, pushing down our inhibitors, has triple our dragons, double our collective kills, and baron. Also we had no tank against their two tanks.

Eh.

To be honest, a bad attitude hurts more than a good attitude helps on average, if you ask me.

Do you need to be an anime hero and believe in the power of friendship? Hell no. Does flaming your teammates hurt your chances of winning? Yes. You lose 100% of the games you surrender (sans glitches or whatever, for whoever was about to snark at me for that!)

no it does not help to be super positive in chat ( like your 0 20 example). At best you come off like a fool and at worse you come off condescending.

When a game is going really bad people do not want to hear either side. Being stupidly positive or negative is going to piss people off. Instead worry about making plays happen since your actions will speak a lot louder than your words.
