Two ADCs, One Awesome One Awful

EDIT: Was not ranked. She was silver, had one plat and 2 gold on team

Game 1:

I take Annie support and announce to Graves : "Dear Graves, I will most likely be stealing many kills but I promise to not touch your CS and that we will completely wreck bot lane."

He says: "Fine by me just don't do anything dumb". Laning phase ends with me being 6/0/3 and him 3/0/4. He is happy and keeps chatting in all chat "NEW META: GRAVES SUPPORT".

Game 2:

I take Blitzcrank and make a similar announcement to MissFortune . She doesn't respond. Two minutes into laning she starts chatting

Her: "Hey Blitz, can you please freakin hook someone already?" Me: "That would be a bad idea, Draven is hiding behind their Braum ".

A few minutes later I notice mid is missing so rush to dragon to see if they are attempting an early drag and they are. I ping MissFortune , hook their mid laner and start pounding on him. MissFortune comes and starts shooting. Their jungler and ADC join the fight; I get 6 and ult; killing their mid laner.

MissFortune : "Jesus this Blitzcrank never hooks and then steals my kill. What a noob, probably bronze 5 or something."

She continues the harass all game despite us having an equal KDA and me being a support.

My point? I had FUN the first game and was pretty miserable the second game. I am not a fan of mute because part of the fun in LoL for me is the social interaction.

TLDR; when you are toxic you are going to make you and your teammate have a far less enjoyable game. Cheer up and play for fun.

{quoted} MissFortune : "Jesus this Blitzcrank never hooks and then steals my kill. What a noob, probably bronze 5 or something."

Dang, she stuffed the "Blitzcrank Never Hooks," "Kill Stealer," "Most Likely a Noob," and "Incompetent Bronze 5 Dweller" arguments into a single statement.

Someone, give this lady a medal.

A bronze medal. With a "5" inscribed on it.

These silly fights over who is trying to win or not. Only with millennials and the rise of not having to pay in the arcade did this conversation start. No one ever said I am playing to have fun and I don't care whether I win or lose. Almost no one was toxic in the arcade and he wasn't going to say shit anyway. You were standing next to him. He would vent towards the game not picking up his movements. Every now and then you would get a guy that said "you only going to use that one move?" We would all laugh at him and he knew from then on that that was a stupid question.

We were all "tryhards" but we had honor. You didn't throw in the arcade. Literally or figuratively. Now we have philosophical debates about whether someone is trying too hard or are they playing for fun or to win. Like these propositions are mutually exclusive. Oh I wish I could take some you trolls back in time with me. It would be glorious. The glorious beating we would give you if you touched our side of the game thinking it was funny.

We all think video games are fun that is why we play them. Next question, are you trying to win? Anyone who says no has merely decided to lose from the beginning. That has always been loser mentality. If you are winning and having fun you don't pull up on the reins and say "Uh oh, all this victory is getting in the way of my fun." Get out of here with all this shit. Have fun and try to win, Ya bunch a hipsters, afraid to care too much. "What will my friends think if they find out I give a shit?"

Happened to me except with an Ez He was stupid enough to approach an unwarded bush with Thresh andNautilus. Kept telling ez to stay behind minions yet he kept z and he said nothing at all. The moment I pull Naut under our tower and get the kill he starts calling me an Support ADC for "stealing his kill" I get two more kills that saved ezs life and he keeps complaining. Mid had fed and our jungle was behind because of a bug splat. After warding dragon Thresh catches me out and the whole team arrives, ez for some reason having followed me decides to e + flash into the lone river bush and gets killed by the midlaner instead of jumping over dragon wall. I sit there laughing at the horrible play and tell my brother (who was watching) "How much do you want to bet that he is going to blame it on me." Seconds later I get a "f*** you blitz" , making me laugh even more, his remark then starts the mid and jungle to trash talk. Leaving me and garen to wait till our inevitable loss. I was having so much fun too. Q.Q

There is a special place in hell for toxic adc players.

I don't really care if my support takes kills so long as it isn't outright intentional. I would rather the support get the kill than let them get away. When your support is up in items it usually means they are going to have an easier time setting up kills for you, so the kills will come anyway. Plus, I don't like being fed anyway, because it means I have to carry the team constantly and it's a lot of pressure. Going 28/4 as Vi may sound fun but in all honesty I wish I had given my team more kills early game, because I had to be murdering things nonstop and never had a chance to actually breathe, and I knew that if I f*cked up once and died, my team would automatically lose the teamfight by virtue of me having 90% of the team gold. Never a good idea to have all your eggs in one basket.

The only time I ever understand why people would rage at support taking kills is if they are playing Draven.

I agree to play for fun and i think that MF was wrong in how she acted since she was kind of late for the party, but as a support main, i find taking kills from the adc to be a bad idea if it is on purpose. I dont personally like annie support because i feel she isnt that great in protecting the adc early and getting he/she fed, but i get why people play her. She has heavy cc early and late game and has a built-in thornmail, but i feel like she isn't much fun to play supp or is very useful in getting the adc fed. I feel the number one job of a support is to get the adc fed and keep them alive and the enemy harassed so they can farm. They may get all the farm, but by support taking the kills, they aren't much use late game. That 200+ gold that you take each time you get a kill weighs heavy on an adc by late game if you don't rush to finish. My point being this: don't start a game expecting to take kills and don't fore warn your ADC about it. tHe fact is, you probably put your MF in a sour mood from the very beginning because it sounds like you are going to KS her on purpose. Again she shouldn't have reacted like she did. I'm glad you got a mellow Graves in the other game, but if you had started losing the lane at all because he was under-fed, he might have been just as sour as MF, if not worse. I ahve had my share of sour ADCs, so i can say this: don't poke the bear. If you pick up a kill, great. Just don't be warning your ADC that your gonna take kills. It REALLY sours a lot of their attitudes if you go in the game saying that.

I remember being Lux support once (back when I had no idea what a item 2049 was or why anyone would ever want to buy it) and I was supporting a Vayne. The other team had someone with a snare/stun or something, because I remember at one point Vayne being stuck under turret because of it at one point. So, I pressed all of my buttons and got a double kill. Vayne proceeds to flame me, even after I said "Sorry, I saw ADC in danger and just pressed all of my buttons." Vayne told me not to next time. Later in the game, I remember throwing a snare at a really great time to snare a Fizz after he poled, but he somehow took enough damage between when I threw it and when it landed that I got a kill. Coincidentally, Vayne was approaching at just that very moment to try and kill Fizz herself Naturally, it was all part of my plan to deny her any kills, and not just a fluke or an accident. Compare that to the games where I've gone 4/0 laning phase pure tank support Leona, and Leona was definitely more fun.

Well, once they start like this you can assume there won't be any fun social interaction with them.
