Akali is...?

Today's Mid Monday for me and I used that as an excuse to play Akali for the first time since I bought her ages ago. It was a rough go, even against bots, and when I mentioned this in chat someone pointed out that she'd been "nerfed to the ground," something I'd completely forgotten about since my friend can still dominate with Akali. We did a 1v1 one night, me as Malzahar and him as Akali, and he slaughtered me.

After the match, I messaged another friend saying I don't know how that first friend can do so well with Akali. His response was just "Akali is OP." I pointed him to her win rate, to her placement on the tier list sites people seem to frequent and trust the most, and he was insistent that she's still "OP." At this point I just got frustrated and said "you're literally the only one who thinks she's OP," and he said "you're the only one who thinks she isn't?"

So, here we are. Let the board speak. What's your opinion on Akali in her current state?

You played an assassin vs a Malzahar. She isn't excessively weak, Malzahar just hard counters assassins in 1v1s.

Akali as we all know is a very bad champ pre 6, she has 1 good poke with q (hopefully get a auto off while using shroud), her E is useless early and only helps last hit under tower but uses a ton of energy. I actually play akali top and love her to death rn. :D Its only that procing q is a lot harder now so and takes more skill than needed. So I honestly think she is underpowered from levels 1-6 and until you get a few kills you are useless vs tanks and their cc (e.g. sej, gragas) ^-^. The only way akali couldn't kill you is if you went Roa, Rylias, Liandry's Torment, hourglass, and mr boots. That makes you overly tanky, with high damage output :D. Akali has high sustain after hextech gunblade, but doesnt heal enough before you ult her :P
