Why don't you punish people that intentionally lose? Hell, my last game the adc literally trolled because I was in promos.

ZombeezyJeezy2 votesLol, I lost 6 promo series into Gold before I quit playing the game entirely because every time I played a promo game I waqs matched with people who didn't care at all about winning, and sometimes actually wanted to lose. Hell, I even was matched with someone who literally just came out of his placement matches and trolled. Now I just browse the Boards seeing if the game is getting any better, and it seems that it's just getting worse.

This is causing people that try to win to stop playing, leaving behind a greater % of trolls. But hey, I'm sure changing the font color at the loading screen is going to fix the issue because #Lytelogic

You don't get banned for offering advice. You get banned for how you say it. Toxicity is in the details. If someone theatens to report you or calls you toxic when your comment is a neutrally phrased suggestion, nobody cares about the report, and you're not gonna get banned.
I've had plenty of people get snippy with me the moment I make a suggestion or counter-suggestion to theirs. I have not ONCE received any penalty from the tribunal, regardless of how many players with egos have claimed to report me. That's because a) I'm not actually toxic, and b) it's obvious.

Welcome to riot, where if you're not in the world championship, they don't care about you. I've had to do my bronze 2 to 1 promo's 4 times because of trolls.
I've been in gold for a bit, til it decayed to silver due to inactivity way back when, and I've been in silver most of the past year or two, and bronze before that. I mainly play regulars, and don't try to progress in ranked, because frankly, I don't care that much about playing with people who seem to put more energy into complaining about team members and Riot matchmaking than they do into revising their tactics.
Now, if you're dealing with rage quitters, that's a different issue. That can be an insurmountable handicap to your chance of success in a round. But we're talking about the people who get banned the quickest. I don't care how many times people claim to be dealing with trolls. I've been in enough promos and seen enough promos to know, actual trolling aint that common.
I've played with players that are gold, plat, and diamond, and played AGAINST players that are gold, plat and diamond, and my general impression of every person I've seen with far superior skills than mine is: if they got stuck in a lower """elo-hell""" (there aren't enough quotations marks in the world for that term) rank, they'd climb out instantly, ALWAYS. Why? Because their skills are on a level where they can pretty much carry no matter how inferior their team members are.
Their rank reflects this properly. WHY? Because the ranking system for solo/duo is designed to test your ability to do the following: If you were stuck with a team with lower skill-level than the opposing team, would you still win? This proves as undeniably as is reasonably possible that you are the deciding factor in your promos when you DO win. That's not unfair. That's just very challenging, and it's why rank actually MEANS something.
Get out of this modern-day American mentality of "everyone deserves an A" people. Sometimes, you're just not gonna make it to the next level without some hardcore effort you haven't familiarized yourself with yet. Boohoo. That's life. If you're constantly whining every time it legitimately isn't fair, you won't be able to tell when it actually IS fair and you need to up your game.

EndlessSorcerer1 votesThe Twisted Fate had a poor KDA, low CS and low level. It's quite likely that they AFKed leaving the game a 4v5, so that's somewhat understandable.
If it was a 5v5, there isn't really an excuse.
LaceUp231 votesYeah, he raged after dying the last time and left. I guess rather than dragging the game on for another 10 mins, team decided to surrender. If it was in promo (can't remember), I voted no lol...but 1 doesn't save anything, so "stop giving up" is a pretty dumb thing to say.
BuyMeSkinsPls1 votesDuo queue isn't going to change your situation, OP. All it does is lower your team's MMR / increase the other team's MMR so you have to work twice as hard at winning. You're still gonna find a bunch of trolls and immature kids in your matches

BuyMeSkinsPls1 votesSometimes it helps to just be nice though, if you have trolls or players that are doing weird stuff like following you around in the jungle for no reason, or a random duo mid lane, if you can adapt to it somehow usually the game will be a lot less stressful.
