Is it Guarantee to Get Your Role in Dynamic Queue?

For the past 15-20 games of dynamic queue, 100% I get something else besides my main role: mid. I am not complaining nor being angry about it (since support is also my main) but I find it unfair to see that someone else gets mid but I don't. What's even more strange is that the people who got mid in my games have their first letter of their names ahead of me, meaning that they get mid if they're a, or b, or even l, while my first letter of my name is "u." So what I mean is, I can get mid if someone else name starts with v, w, x, y, or z. Is that the case, or is it just random? But anyway, are some of you getting something not what you wanted, although your first position is "mid?"

Well, then sometimes it will give you mid, and sometimes it will give you fill.

You're selecting two roles here. It will always give you one of the two roles you have chosen.

That's the thing, I always get something else besides mid. And I was wondering if it is because of my name. I notice the people who has mid in my games have their letters ahead of me. For example "D is ahead of U." Is it chosen by the order of the names?

The chance of me getting mid is 0% so far. It kind of hurts, when you have a lot of mid champions waiting to be played.

Alright, did you ever play team builder? In team builder each role would have a different queue time, depending on how popular that role is at the moment. This led to support having a very low queue time, and some roles (like mid) having a very long one.

To try and fix this for Dynamic Queue Riot forces players to pick two roles, so if the first role will take too long to find a match for it will default to the second role.

Basically you've put one of the most popular roles as your primary. You're going to get it less by default, simply because a ton of people want that role. I suggest you find a secondary role you enjoy.

So that means I can't play mid? D: And my secondary and second favorite role is support.

It will give you mid eventually, it's just that your primary role is the most popular, with your secondary being the most unpopular. There are simply more games out there looking for a support than there are looking for a mid laner.

You can stack the deck in your favor by playing with a premade, but that's about all you can do.

I see, I get it. But what if I can only get mid if someone's name starts with a v, w, x, y, z? Does it depend on its name? But if it doesn't then I totally get it. Mid is very popular while support is the least, making me having a likely chance of playing it.

It does not depend on name at all. It's only based on how many mid laners/support players are currently in queue.
