Right now there are a dozen threads on the main page saying X champ is too OP. If the champ is so over powered why aren't you using the freelo to climb to challenger? If they are that strong you should be able to win lane every single game and carry your team.
No matter how OP a champion is, if you don't enjoy playing them, you won't get far with them.
Also, an OP champion can't carry bad teammates. Most of the time.
This argument is inherently flawed. A champion that is 1% more powerful than it should be fits the definition of the phrase "over powered". In order for a champion to be powerful enough to allow someone with bronze mechanics and game knowledge to climb into the very highest ranks something would have to be terribly wrong.
It's an argument designed around the style of reductio ad absurdum, but doesn't use it properly.
