You aren't innocent, you know you were verbally abusive, the chat restriction didn't come from no where.

This wasn't the first time, you've disconnected before, that 20 minute wait time isn't Riot picking on you.

You're banned for two weeks? You should thank Riot for the opportunity to reform and come back a more positive player.

I agree with you on points 1 and 3... but considering Lyte at one point flat out said it could take 'as few as one leave'(http://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-pbe-feedback/8A646W4E-introducing-the-new-leaverbuster-a-new-system-for-aggressively-tackling-leavers-and-afks?comment=00020000#) in ranked to get a leaverbuster low prio queue... there could well be cases where people ARE dcing once and getting punished.

Well, actually, I am innocent, and it isn't even the first time (because it hasn't happened once) and I am banned for zero weeks.

You know why? Because I am a decent person with the ability to manage my anger regarding a video game.

Community, pls.

LoL, use of false negative was deliberate ;) I know that false positive would be considered the correct usage, but since we are talking about negative behavior, I couldn't resist punning it - a vain attempt to channel my inner Phreak.

I understand this, but people go to Riot support every day and get the same automated message that hundreds of people get a day. That's no way to treat your players.

I got a warning once. I was shocked. Then I thought about it and I realized that I hadn't done anything wrong and it was only a warning. So I forgot about it and moved on. I'm sure false negatives occasionally happen, but I find it hard to believe that someone gets chat restricted or banned if they are truly innocent. It's not that I believe the system doesn't occasionally produce false negatives or blow a minor offence out of proportion. But chat restrictions and bans are serious punishments that I I have a hard time imagining get handed out unless there is substantial evidence that it is deserved.

And bookmark'd to easily show anyone complaining (especially in a very toxic, hate-filled manner) about chat restrictions and other things.

A lot of people do get restricted cause a bunch of trolls spam report them. It happens. Personally hasn't happened to me, but many people I know have experienced it. And they're the nicest folks around ;-;

In accordance to Riots spender appreciation I have to agree, I have two accounts and one has only ever been banned 1 time with chat restriction, which I was very toxic on considering it was in a lower elo. But as far as your points I do agree that this is true MOST of the time. Unfortunately it seems like most people who play ranked are just flat out Bitches. Yes, you know how you are you claim people flamed you in game when simply asking for a gank, which results in me getting reported. Or the time when i commented "you had a free kill in mid" and said stop blaming me, and then went on to team up with his dou q in flaming me and then finalizing the game reporting me, when I had muted you 5 mins in the game. How about when you get the same player 2 games in a row that says "your the worst adc ever, cant even cs" which was followed by my mute button and then followed to his report and my team was raging at him all game for flaming. O but this all today results in a 30 game restriction for me. Yes ok i have been flaming in the past, but guess what I WANT TO PLAY RANKED SO I DONT FLAME ANYMORE. O what about where i played poorly and fed and my team hands me a double dou q verbal abuse when i didnt talk all game yes ok riot. Thank you for making me waste time in Normal games where people are more toxic and dont even report. Thanks again riot

I know people do shit a lot if they get chat banned. I had like a couple day ban and haven't had one since. I'm surprised it wasn't worse looking back on it.

I'm inclined to believe you as I've never been banned, no warnings, ect, apart from one AFK warning when I was just straight not able to connect to the game on from a problem on Riot's end. I think I might have AFK'd on my end twice in the entire time I've played this game, and that was from my power going out due to the weather.

My friend on the other hand who "claims" he isn't toxic, just received a two week ban. While he isn't like this often, he does go on, I guess it would be tilt, where he flames people, says he's just going to sit at the fountain when the game looks lost, ect. Maybe it'll change him, but only time will tell.

AJStarhiker4/7/2015, 11:56:39 PM1 votes

Or, he's been lucky an hasn't been reported in enough games for the PB&J team to take a closer look at his account.

Nucleophilic atk4/9/2015, 12:16:55 AM1 votes

I was not verbally abusive and got a 2 week ban. I got it because I was "negative".

Get yo facts straight.

Goofle4/9/2015, 2:46:19 PM1 votes

Imo they should remove the chat and pings completely and replace it with voice chat. At the beginning of the game you could just mute all the 12 year olds and enjoy the game as it's meant to be played.

So people should just reform when they get punished an indeterminable amount of time after their behavior? Especially when exactly what is and is not "crossing the line" is not at all revealed to you? Sure, I bet they'll be jumping right on that.
