So my friend got me hooked into the game years ago. About the time I hit level 5 I thought about spending money on the game. When I informed him of this he stated that he wouldn't because eventually EVERYONE gets banned. He was working on his 3rd account at the time. I continued playing. When I hit level 15 he was working on his 5th account, and I couldn't figure out why he was getting banned, given the fact that I just sat quietly and played when I was mad, half the time I didn't even play with him. When I got to level 20 I decided, wtf I haven't been banned so far, why not spend money on it. Dropped my first 20 bucks on the game.
Here I am 5 years later, still unbanned, and having dropped over $2k into the game. I realized after he quit because his 6th account got banned that he would afk because eve mid wasn't working out for him at the 5 minute mark. I made the vow I wouldn't play with people like that and I wouldn't deal with that kind of negativity when I play. To this day I remain unbanned and have had numerous honorable ribbons on my account...why...

See, here's the big issue that a lot of the kiddies these days don't understand: You don't just get respect. You earn it. But nah, it's toxic of me to think that way, 'cause everyone is a winner and no one can possibly be unhappy with or dislike anyone else. We live in a magical world where everyone eats butterflies and poops rainbows.
And, between you and me, having morons for teammates isn't fun -- nor is being clicked on and deleted with zero chance of counterplay or retaliation of any way.
Can't you respect other humans without them having to "prove" themselves to you? And it's perfectly possible to act with respect towards a person you dislike or even hate. It's called "manners", and it seems to be in awefully short supply these days >_>

But then again you play on N.A and after the split of N.A/Brazil N.A is not toxic any more
(I was playing on N.A on early days) but when you play on E.UNE and you get all this multi languages trolls who curse in some elven languages you will see what real toxicity mean
You think that guy is happy? That he lives a wonderful and fullfilling life filled with joy and wonder? Because he sounds pretty fucking miserable to me. When someone acts like a jerkass and wish cancer on your family, do not hate him; pity him. Because chances are his life sucks and he is just blowing of steam in a place where there is minor consequences. Lowering yourself to his level won't impress neither him or your teammates. It won't make either of you feel any better. It won't increase the chances of you winning that game. Try instead to be calm and reasonable, if nothing else to show him that he's not getting to you. If he's reasonable you can sometimes calm him down, I've even had people apologize to me and admit they were simply throwing a fit. If he's beyond reasoning, talking calmly with them will either make them realize their making themselves look like idiots, or they will simply give up since they're not getting the reaction they were hoping for.
Anyway, What I'm basically trying to say with all this is always stay positive, and remembers, when all else fails just /mute all and put on your favorite music from spotify/iTunes//youtube.

Thank you, sincerely. I've been playing for a little over or under 2 years, FINALLY reached 30 recently and mainly because I hit that "More often than not, they're toxic" wall early on. So I ONLY would play Coop or ARAM. Pretty straight forward but hell, even in fudgin' COOP people get toxic and use "It's just bots" as an excuse.
Recently I started putting myself into Norms, definitely not ranked cuz fuck that, and man the toxicity is so awful. I know I'm not great, cuz I've been playing Coop and not getting genuine live action play to improve on. That's my bad. I'm trying.
There are those that just go instantly to humiliating me and bashing me down during a match, which obviously doesn't help morale for me or the team. You wanna win? Maybe give me advice while we play instead of making me feel like the biggest piece of shit alive.
So thank you, Teemo (Never thought I'd say THAT). The community needs more people like you.
