Since I've seen a lot of weird things on the internet, I wonder what people from other countries (mainly USA) know/think about Belgium.

Yes, there are multiple primary languages, but there's only one primary language in each part of the country (exception Brussels). So you have to say what you think the biggest amount of people use as first language.

Edit: according to http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgium , the French region is the largest, followed by the Flemmish region. The German region is considerably smaller. So your question is kind of a trick question, since there are 3 primary areas, but the French-speaking region is most prevalent.
