Playing Riven, 0/7 early against Voli, sold damage items for splitpush, got 7 towers/1 inhib & won

So I'm shit at Riven. I decided to play her for fun in Normals. Enemy was Voli top, and I was struggling really badly.

I was like, I'm so behind I won't be doing damage anyways. So I sold everything except Tiamat + Scepter in early for building into Zz'rot Portal.

The Rengar jungler quits after a disagreement over a gank, rip. Our Ezreal ADC was doing quite well and so the Janna support tried to come and help, which it somewhat did. I could get a decent bit more farm and poke, but even so, Voli's full tank + damage was a bit too much.

Eventually, I lost top tower, so Voli decided to start joining teamfights in mid instead. At some point thereafter, I sell Scepter for more splitpushing components and begin to splitpush every open wave. I used my Q and E to get to lanes as fast as I could, and TP'd between different lanes where I saw a large wave pushed to tower.

I continually did this while teamfights raged on in midlane, which usually eventually dragged the enemy champions away to come after me instead. Most of the time, I got away, but on the off chance I didn't, I usually still managed to waste a Flash or ultimate or few. I was doing so horrible though (at 0/7/0) that I had no idea why they burned them on me most of the time.

I continue to do this and I end up taking 3 toplane turrets and 2 botlane turrets, so I go for the inhibitor in toplane. At this point, I had Zz'rot's, Banner, Bami's Cinder, Tiamat, Swifty's, and Ruby Sightstone, as well as a Farsight. Between Zz'rot and Banner, I was burning through the inhibitor easily, but then Voli had recalled and came after me. He started chasing me, but once I started to get away, he turned back to protect the inhib, so I rushed back to start hitting him so I could stop him with the CC from W and the third Q. As a result, he begins to chase me around in circles around the base again. Meanwhile, the inhibitor is getting destroyed rapidly by the boosted minions. Inhibitor dies, I've managed to run loops around the Voli at this point and so he gives up, I run back past toplane's fallen inhib turret with almost no health. Unfortunately, at that moment, an Akali was coming that way and I die. RIP.

I finish Sunfire Cape for additional waveclear and return back to botlane, where I quickly take the third botlane tower (the Inhibitor tower) and start rushing the inhibitor. Meanwhile, my team had won a teamfight and was rushing down mid and were burning through the Nexus towers and eventually took Nexus for the win.

So the 46:06 game ended with me at 1/9/3, 223 CS. My final build was Tiamat/Portal/Banner/Sunfire/Swifty's/Ruby SS + Farsight. Voli ended at 12/3/5, 240 CS. His final build was Sterak's/Thornmail/Deadman's/Warmog's/Merc's/Visage + Yellows.

Both sides had an AFKer, our side being the Rengar jungler, their side being the Leona support. The whole reason I could even manage to splitpush this well though was because the rest of my team was plain amazing. Janna support went 2/7/23, Leona mid went 10/8/19, and Ezreal ADC went 24/2/5.

I'd say I helped out a bit too though. ^3^

Just wanted to talk about a super fun game I had. Moral of the story? I dunno, there really isn't one. Be realistic when you're behind I guess? Don't expect to do a crapton of damage? Don't be selfish and help the team instead? I dunno.

Who cares about all that? I had a fun game. ^3^
