Champion That You Think Fit Better in a Non-Traditional Role

Champions that most people take one spot, while you see them as a much better fit for another.

Galio : If your skill-shot game is weak, he's going to be a pretty unforgiving champion to play mid. Plus, his AA range makes it so you almost have to farm with your abilities. Take him support, though, and he suddenly has more room for error with two targets, and you no longer have to worry about CS. Orianna : Ranged poke, a slow, a shield, a knockup. She just seems made for support, in my opinion. MonkeyKing : Some do know the power of Wukong jungle, but I still see it so rarely that I have to add it to this list. Wukong top is too easily countered. Wukong jungle's only drawback is a weak early game where the camps hit hard and you aren't a real ganking threat until 6. But post-6, he has some of the best ganks in the game and, if he gets ahead, his damage plus his inherent tankiness make him an absolute terror.

Alistar Mid: Very uncommon but against many of the typical mid assassins he is okay 1-5 and has an advantage at 6. If Kat or Zed ults, he can insta-ult too and out-trade their damage. Pushing him is dangerous because he can cc for ganks. People underestimate the damage; as soon as Ali gets a sheen the prospect of getting WQ/proc/e/proc is a nasty trade. If he's handled well early he remains a threat in team fights too since WQ --> R makes him an extremely poor choice to focus even if he's not built tanky, and the AP scaling on it + trample starts to hurt alongside lich procs. A lot.

Lux Support: For the same reason as Orianna, really. Lux can root, apply a shield, poke, and unload a ton of damage. Her AoE on E can actually hit both champs if they're not careful (and it slows + has some zoning/cs harass ability) and this lane makes procs of her passive more realistic in some matchups.

Nunu in a lane: He's a nightmare matchup for champs like Nasus and can out-sustain most matchups. He's dangerous to shove because of the low cooldown on his slow and ability to buff jungler speed. He can go any lane depending on who's across from him and play any role except ADC. A team that has other flexible champs could lane swap him into odd lanes and cause problems.

Quinn ADC. Always mystified why people think this is bad. This is my favorite role to play Quinn in, and she has good synergy with lots of support. Also.. she has an AS buff, a poke, high-damage, an escape, and an ult that locks down kills. Seems like an ADC to me..
