Hello! I'm VenturathePoro, and I am a big fan of the PROJECT skin line. The new Hextech Crafting items for the PROJECT: DISRUPTION have been released along with PROJECT: Ashe, PROJECT: Katarina, and PROJECT: Ekko. You can get a bunch of loot for a mix of RP/IP, and I'll be honest, the support article and the article linked to this thread, while explain the process, make it... complicated to understand. Here I will attempt to make it simple so you can go along your merry way enjoying the event instead of like this:

PROJECT ICONS

Ekko = Green Cache Katarina = Red Cache Ashe = Blue Cache

There are three different types of caches you can buy for IP (750) or RP (75). These caches correspond to Ekko, Katarina, and Ashe, and give you the icons. These icons do not provide the first strike banner on the loading screen.

1. You get a blueprint for the first strike icons required to unlock first strike. (you do not need to use the icon, once you unlock it, the first strike is applied to whatever corresponding project skin, as long as you own it and the icon before the 16th of August.) Basically, blueprints are like Hextech Chests, keep that in mind. *You need 7 Project Cores, (the equivalent of key fragments,) to unlock one icon blueprint.

2. You get 1 project core PER CACHE. (so if you buy all three Project Caches, you get 3 Project Cores)

3. Augmented Cache Fragment (literally keys now, you take three of these and put them together to make a chest, which you can unlock for more goodies.) Opening all three Project Caches will get you 3 augmented cache fragments, which you can combine for one free augmented chest. The augmented chest gives you standard hextech loot, guaranteed champion skin shard, a chance at another augmented cache fragment, and 2 Project cores. Woohoo.

NOTE: You can only buy each Project Cache ONCE -- meaning, once you buy the blue cache, you cannot buy another blue cache again.

TL;DR: You get a blueprint which requires 7 cores to open, you get one core per project cache, total of 3, and you get a crafted augmented chest after combining the three fragments. The augmented chest gives you standard hextech loot, champion skin shard, a chance at another augmented cache fragment, and 2 Project cores.

Augmented Caches

You can buy these things for 295 RP, or by getting 3 augmented cache fragments and putting them together. You get standard hextech loot, guaranteed champion skin shard, a chance at another augmented cache fragment, and 2 Project cores.

TL;DR: You get random loot just like a hextech chest would give you, a guaranteed champion shard, 2 project cores, and a chance at an augmented cache fragment. Wohoo. Also, there are no limits on how many Augmented Caches you can buy, unlike Hextech. Go bananas.

Disruption Cache

Disruption Caches will be released to buy with 1500 IP or 150 RP on the 9th. This gives you 7 Project Cores, and a PROJECT: Overdrive skin shard blueprint which will unlock an older PROJECT skin.

TL;DR: If you buy this combined with the three IP PROJECT Caches, you get 1 free first strike icon and a free Augmented Chest.

Buy all three PROJECT Caches for blueprints and 3 project cores [for IP (750) or RP (75)], and a free Augmented chest that you can craft from the three fragments you get. Buy the DISRUPTION cache [for 1500 IP or 150 RP] 7 project cores which lets you unlock one first strike border free if you pay with IP, and a blueprint for a PROJECT: Overdrive skin.

^Once you do all of this, you got all the free content you need (at least if you pay with IP.) After this just buy Augmented Chests if you feel like unlocking all the first strikes. Just keep in mind you need the PROJECT skin and the first strike icon BEFORE the 16th to get the first strike border permanently.
