i was playing support..

i put my wards out with my sight stone.. backed to refresh my sightstone.. .. my team kept skirmishing rather than do objectives.. i spent all my wards again because of a ongoing confusion... my wards ran out and i backed because of low mana and needing sightstone refreshed.. my team started pinging baron because the enemy walked up to it and was taking it .. we didnt have vision but we knew what they where doing.

what made me die a bit on the inside when a person who never upgraded their trinket ward told me we lost vision of baron because i never upgraded my sightstone...

i put down 36 wards that game and destroyed 11.. plus a pink that the enemy didnt touch for a really long time.. the person giving me advice to upgrade my sightstone put down 8 wards.. and destroyed 2...

i dont understand people.. i just dont...

i did my promos on my smurf... i didnt really consider it a smurf persay because it was the same tier as the main.. but wanted to see what i would get..

in a loss i went 3/4/3 i know i could have done better .. then i looked at the scores of my team mates at the end.. 3/6/3 - jgl 2/7/1 - mid 1/9/1 - adc 1/11/1 - top

i warded for this adc.. like literally the enemy jungler would stand on my wards .. so i backed off.. pinging him.. he just had to get that one more cs.. just that one more cs.. i died alittle on the inside after that game.. my plat smurf is now a silver ...

i had a placement game where i went 1/5/0 one death was a suicide because i knew i was caught out... i was 1/1/0 for a good amount of time till the mid lane LB decided to blow me up every chance she got... she would literally go all the way the pain started around the 22 min mark... it was sad.. the final score of the game was 1 - 21 i died alittle on the inside that game.

maybe it is just late and i need some sleep.. i just am at the point of questioning why this happened..

i know elo hell is just a mentality and its not real, but people are really giving a good case on why a person may want to believe.

that´s the reason junglers should get sightstones too...winning the vision war is impossible with just one.

ELO hell is real, not a mentality. I'm going to give you the description of it:

ELO hell is the plummeting of your MMR or ELO to lower than your present position. It's a period of time where trying to rank up takes an excessive amount of time due to the reduced flow of LP. While it certainly can be a misinformed mentality and you can cause it, ELO hell is caused by losing streaks that generally cause your ELO (or MMR) to spike downward and at times these can be caused by a strong of trolls, feeders, AFK's, etc. Basically, ten games in a row dealing with those kinds of people is all it takes to sentence you to ELO hell.

The most difficult part of this is that you now have two different ranked systems conflicting when in ELO hell: your MMR wants to place you low, but your rank wants to shove you with people of similar placement. So you wind up getting absurd combinations of players (such as once I had 3 unranked people going against 4 Plat IV's and a Gold V). So now it's a combination of grossly unbalanced matchmaking, your losses outweighing your earnings, and the fact that you can't fix any of that until your MMR/ELO is effectively repaired. And while it can be destroyed in an instant, it takes time to repair.

Where it gets fuzzy is if this is actually the case and, at times, this is very hard to even tell because a fair amount of ranked is your luck in who you get matched with - that's just how this system works. So if you're sucking hard on your luck, you could be legitimately doomed.

It's like having lag: you're not inclined to believe somebody when they say they have it. But it happens. And nobody will believe it when it happens to you, either.
