Other ADC mains, stop making us look bad

You wanna know why ADC mains are being bashed and supports are being raised up like Gods?

Because you are being an ASS. I end up being called a "selfish bastard" in game because my support and mid laner are automatically under the assumption that I'm a jerk because I play ADC.

Stop.. please.

I stopped maining ADC because the lane phase is so reliant on your support playing well. I completely understand where the frustration is coming from on both ends.

Supports who don't understand that you gain a lead through CS are the worst. They range from types who are too aggressive (trade heavily in 1v2 while you're csing and get dropped so low in hp/mana that they're irrelevant) vs supports who are too passive (never come forward with you to CS causing you to lose far more than you should due to the enemy support zoning.

On the other hand it's not uncommon for ADCs to completely miss out on the value of CS and assume the entire lane phase is about bullying your opponent out. It's like... grats you bullied them out. They came back with a second dorans and here you sit with 2/3 hp and 200 gold less than you could have because you missed CS to fight. And now you're leaking CS for the next 6 minutes while you farm for BF and they have more damage and sustain than you because they CSed and backed for a pickaxe after you bullied them out.

Anyways, I just can't stand bot lane anymore. I dunno how people can do it with enough consistency to call themselves a bot lane main outside of duoing. /Rant

I seem to be a support main at the moment when I play ranked. (I'd rather jungle, but I'm too willing to take support if someone wants jungle.) I've noticed a few things about ADCs

  1. you get the ADC who doesn't understand that CS is important. I've had Tristana's who arrive at the lane and immediately use their jump to go over the minions so they can try to 1v2 the enemy bot laners. Of course, they then complain. "This Sona is trash." because I don't follow them to their doom. They didn't try to take a single CS before launching into the 1v2 against fed champions.

  2. you can also get the ADC who doesn't fight. I had a Sivir who would hide behind the turret and come out only long enough to clear a wave before running back behind the turret. I was less than impressed with their CS and with the fact that I was forced to try to fight a 1v2 to keep the turret from falling.

And in both cases I was blamed for the problems.

I think a lot of it is that there aren't many true ADC mains. I know a couple of players who are trying to main ADC. They are very good about working with just about any kind of support and have a good awareness of things like wards, jungler patterns and ganks and in lane positioning. They are a joy to support because they want to work with you and will do what they can to improve things.

But many of the ADCs I've worked with have been players who wanted to play top or mid and got ADC by default because they were 3rd or 4th pick. These guys tend to lack knowledge of how to play the position, but will often blame the support.

adc mains really do get alot of hate for the toxic ones out there. Honestly i have ran into more toxic supports and mid laners recently then toxic adcs. THe truth is you will find bad eggs at every role, if you say thats not true then you're lying.

I main adc. I have to say a lot of supports in Silver and Bronze even Gold are noobs. They love to play Blitz. While they only have 30% health, they love to pull your full health enemy over here and show off. Then my lovely blitz died. LOL
