So Riot, what's your plan to help people with massive IP pools?

Because at this point this is getting beyond ridiculous.

Icons, which could easily be IP sinks for 1500 or more, continue to be RP only. Chromas, which could again be easy IP sinks for 6300-ish, continue to be RP only. Mystery Gifts, a wonderful IP sink to give to friends? RP only. Buying champions for friends can only be done with RP. I could go on but you get the point.

The only non-gameplay IP sink is name changes, which I've heard of some players changing their names FOUR times in one day simply because they have tons of IP and absolutely nothing of worth to spend it on. This is a joke at this point that we can do nothing with huge IP pools and yet the options which should have always been IP are still there.

As a long time player, you're really insulting people who have put time and effort into your game by not giving us anything to use our IP on. It's beginning to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I sincerely hope you do something (and soon) to rectify this.

Riot gives you free currency to buy champions / runes for free... but that leaves a bad taste in your mouth? You want to buy optional content with free currency? This game can be 100% free to play, while operating at a cost of ten's of thousands a month to maintain... but you want more... for free. What have you done for free lately that others would be paid for? Entitlement is a disease... seek a cure.

While I agree that it would be nice to have an IP sink, it's a bit difficult for Riot to implement. Players with insane amounts of IP lying around are an extremely small minority, and opening existing content to IP purchase could potentially either lose Riot copious amounts of money or be such high IP requirements that the average player would view them as unfair (see: Tribes: Ascend).

I will agree entirely on one thing, which is summoner icons. Riot has repeatedly said that they would be available for IP unless tied to an event, but since you can define almost anything as an event they rarely have that option. Chromas...I just disagree with the entire pricing model. I think it's disingenuous of Riot to force bundling on Chromas, and it's a practice that is widely regarded as being a bit greedy.
