So, Jhin's been out for a bit, whats the thoughts on builds?

While it's unfashionable, for me personally, I've been finding Triforce start rather nice. His Q has a very low cooldown for procing sheen, he makes good use of all of its stats, the movement speed increase and phage passive are great for helping you get some mobility for kiting, and Triforce procs help make your limited amount of autos count for more.

Second item I've gone for has been Essence Reaver but I've been thinking Infinity Edge might be better, though the amount of CDR you get with Tri and ER as your first items makes his ult CD go down a lot, which I like because I'm a chicken shit when I play ADC.

Thoughts and opinions on my Triforce start or your own builds?

Honestly, not sure. Jhin is about getting as much burst as possible into one attack and getting as much AD as possible. CDR is another big stat for him.

item 3031 item 3508 item 3078 item 3046 item 3094 item 3036

IE increases his AD by a good bit and gives him critical hit chance. The main reason, however, is of course the big boost in critical hit damage which makes his fourth attack and fourth ultimate bolt very powerful. Essence Reaver is an obvious pick for it's high AD increase, critical hit chance, and cool down reduction. This will give him most of his CDR needed. This will also allow him to sustain his mana. Trinity Force is something Im still testing, but Jhin gets more base attack damage than the average ADC (about 0.5 more per level) and Jhin is one of the few champions in the game to be able to make use of every single one of Trinity Force's stats to a decent degree. You will be getting majority of Trinity procs from in-combat W and Es. Phantom Dancer is your defensive item that you replace your Ionian Boots with once you have gotten enough CDR for them not to be needed anymore, not to mention the reduced cool down on Summoner Spells is more useful to you early game. Anyways, the reduced damage and bonus to kiting Phantom Dancer gives is always great to have, not to mention it is a decent boost to your AD due to the large amount of critical hit chance and attack speed it gives. Rapid Firecannon is another good item since it increases your burst by a lot, but the main reason is the safety it provides by increasing your range. It also serves the same purpose of Phantom when it provides a lot of AD through AS and Crit Chance. Lord's is what I call the Finishing Bow or whatever the saying is. It ties the whole build together by giving you bonus armor penetration for tankier targets as well as giving you % boost damage for those Super Tanks.

NOTE: I find it very likely that at least one of these items will be replaced with the new Assassin Dagger that is coming out since Jhin can make decent use of it.

As far as build path, Trinity into Essence is not a bad start since Infinity Edge is mainly just an amazing luxury item. Infinity Edge is required at the latest as third item though due to how amazing it is.

I think it's really dependent on your playstyle with him, tbh. If you want to play him at high range, you'll want to prioritize CDR with Essence Reaver into RFC. If you like to be in auto range frequently, I would pick up Trinity followed by RFC or PD.

I haven't tried Trinity yet, but that makes sense. I'll have to give it a shot.

The only things I know for certain yet are that:

  1. item 3031 is an absolute must by midgame or you'll suffer,

  2. item 3035 is by far the best armor shred item on him,

  3. item 3094 is far easier to abuse because there's no need for item 3087 ,

and 4) I lose a lot of laning presence on him without having an item 3508 somewhat early on.

I rely on Dancing Grenade for filling my farming gaps quite a bit--especially because it's so strong on such a short CD/cost. Maybe I don't have the timing down yet, but I really rely on having the early ER. It could be that the way I'm playing him is more suited to the long range utility-style play pattern, but I'm not certain.

Starting Items item 1055 item 2003 Core Items item 3031 item 3158 item 3094 Determine needs here, but mostly follow with item 3139 oritem 3072 item 3036 Last item is entirely optional to player, but I do think ES is a nice touch.
