About the server move to Chicago

If you're on the West Coast right now, just don't complain about it just yet.

Firstly, this is NOT a role reversal. East coast isn't going down to your 20 ping, and you aren't going to East Coast's 110 ping. West coast will be around 70.

Now I live in Illinois, so the distance from the West coast to the new server location will put you in MY shoes. Honestly, I don't even notice input lag, you'll definitely get used to it after a couple of games.

They aren't moving the servers because they like East coast players more or feel like they deserve to be better. They are moving it because doing so will create equal opportunities. Your ping is going to be pretty comparable to east coasts ping when the move occurs.

You aren't getting, "fucked over" or anything even close. It's actually kind of depressing watching everyone on the West coast complain, when you aren't even going to get it as bad as the east coast CURRENTLY has it.

I agree that people treating it like an attack on the west coast is ridiculous. However, having the service you have come to expect be diminished isn't the same as having the lesser service from the begging. Some strangers ping going down isn't much consolation for having yours go up, even if it is for the "greater good".

Im in east coast and I have a 95 ping, other people I know have 120+. It's awful, for anyone to say that the new more centralized location isn't better for the community as a whole, is selfish. Thankfully the only people crying are the cali kids who are scared to lose their 20 ping, I however am going to enjoy a 30-40 ping for once. Thanks Rito GJ!
